Marvelous! Both of these looks are stellar -- fashion forward without making you a fashion victim. The jeans are a perfect fit and lots of fun --- sophisticated whimsy. And I love the hip knot on you!

Thanks for the closeup of the pattern-mixing. You're right about the indigo anchoring the mix. Fresh and pretty, without being cutesy.

Happy Summer!

LOVE both of these, you silly lady! Gosh I think they are very flattering too. The jeans are fun, and you know I like textured jeans. The orange and indigo is TDF, the mix just makes me so happy. Love the shoe choice too. I am jealous of the fun time you and Sveta will have at least I can look forward to pictures of Shoe Mountain. Love your hair both cropped and longer.

You're not that far from me, right? I hop in the car, drive a few hours, arrive at Chez Jonesy .... and steal those amazing jeans!!

Incredible, all of it!

You are a trend-setter! I love what you do with pattern and silhouette. The jeans are great on you- I am not a fan on most women but you make them work, I think because there is a sophistication to your style that works in juxtaposition to the jeans. I always love to see your inventive pattern mixing- fun post!!!

I think the pattern mixed outfit would desperately enjoy a summer vacation to Edinburgh! The colours of that outfit form part of my summer capsule so I am actively plotting how to best recreate the look.

Are the seams on the jeans comfortable Jonesy? They look fantastic.

Very nice! Effortlessly cool, as usual!!

Ack! I would wear those jeans in a nano-second! I love these outfits. I think I need more drape-y blouse-y blouses. Thanks for showing us how it's done!

Thanks, everyone! I guess the jeans aren't as polarizing as I thought they were :).

Thanks Amy, Manidipa, San, Marianna, Jem, Deborah, Beth Ann, Laura, Anne, and Claire, for your thumbs up on the crazy denim! If anyone is interested, they are still available on yoox.com for a mere $85 :). Thanks to all who liked my hair too--my head feels so much lighter now!

Aida, I have definitely been thinking about other pairings with these, and a jacket with a buttoned up shirt seems like a perfect match, once the weather cools off (if that ever happens!). Something silky and loose would work too, and I might swap that out for Saturday, if it's feeling too hot.

Kellygirl and Sarah, I am right there with you in remembering the fab '70s stylings of toughskins and Woodstock-y patched denim! Sorry if I caused any harmful flashbacks!

Sveta, I'm sure you will look fabulous on Saturday!! No worries there! Re. Mr. Plant: he passed away a few months ago, and this is the replacement plant, so that's why it looks so big :).

Scarlet, thanks, and I love your term "Shoe Mountain." Sounds like the best amusement park ride ever, no?

Thanks for your comments, Jean. I always appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Jules, thanks! I'm sure you look ravishing in orange and blue! Re. the seams of the jeans: the patches of denim are just laid on top of the jeans, so there is double thickness in places, but the inside of the jeans is smooth just like regular pants, if that makes sense.

Here they are, in all their glory!

Wow, you have really taken me on a trip down memory lane.

And paired with a tube top, naturally!!!!

Very cool, fab and chic! L O V E !

Wow! Just WOW!!! I love both of these outfits on you and those sandals are KILLER!

Is it wrong to kind of like the version that's giving you all 70's flashbacks?

ETA: Love the jeans on you, Jonesy.

Jonesy - in my opinion, both of these outfits are perfect 10s. You rock those jeans - I want them! - and along with that chambray shirt and belt and shoes, your cool factor is going off the charts! The 2nd outfit is great too - I would have never thought to knot that shirt, let alone mix those two patterns together - you're showing me how its done - thank you!

These jeans are so very you, Jonesy! I would have no idea what to do with them if I saw them in the store, but totally love how you've combined them with a simple button-down here. (Looking forward to more outfits with these new cuties). The skirt outfit: I have no words for it, I am SO smitten with it!

Those jeans!! Gorgeous. Love the whole outfit head to toe. It looks effortlessly cool

Holy moly, thanks so much everyone! I really didn't expect the jeans to get so much lovin' around here, but I really appreciate it!

Thanks Harmonica, Meredith, Declawed Jaguar (yes, it's perfectly fine that you would still be diggn' the '70s version! they do have a certain charm!), Marley, Inge, and Sammi. Marley, it's so great to see you--I've missed seeing you around.

The SO and I are actually going out to dinner and to a movie tonight, so I've got to go get some clothes on (not that I'm working at home in the nude, just in my lounge wear :).

Thanks again so much!
