I am on a bit of pastel kick these days, and we even have a bit of sun outside!
Today I tried to build an outfit around my pastel floral Equipment blouse, that I have love-hate relationship with. I love the blouse itself, but find it very difficult to style. This might have a lot to do with the fact that, the first time I wore it in the lab (styled very simply with light blue skinnies), it got all sorts of negative comments, such as "looks like grandma's curtain", "not even my grandma would wear it" etc. I can see how the combo of pastels, florals and oversized fit could give a matronly vibe, so I have to be very careful in how I wear it. Today I tried to toughen it up with moto vest, faded jeans and Frye booties. Does it work? Any other suggestions on how to style it?
