I talked a bit about going to a Chicago wedding. I went, and it was fabulous--great venue, warmth, dancing. I'm so happy for my cousin.
But...the whole thing was, I had to wear a back-up dress, because the first didn't arrive in the mail on time. I wore a green brocade thrifted dress--thankfully I had something in my closet.
This is the dress I would have worn--the one I carefully picked out and customized. "Guaranteed" to get there two days before the wedding--thanks, eShakti. Anyway, it's a beautiful dress, so wanted to share it. Black sequin with sort of a cape/poncho top. I added fake pearls (Macy's), real pearl bracelet I've had for years (Macy's), peach tassel earrings, and silver Franco Sarto Mary Janes (Macy's). So this is a what-I-would-have-worn.
