WIW: pale pink mohair with wedge sneakers

New to me sweater from thrift store which exactly matches a hand-me down scarf from my mom.

mohair sweater - Gap thrifted (surprisingly not at all itchy)
tube skirt - Target/Mossimo
fauxleather sneakers - Marshalls/MIA
silky scarf - mom
bag - Fossil

1) What to do with sleeves?

2) With scarf, ready to head into wind.

3) Very, very loosely inspired by: Look #19 Comme Des Garçons (I think I ran out of steam...I did try the scarf in my hair but it was very Cindy Lou Who)

You look lovely in pink and I love the tennis shoes. I like the sleeves scrunched like you have them in #2 though long sleeves covering part of the hands are trendy and works too.

Beautiful color on you, and I love the surprise of the tennis shoe with the skirt. Really fun. You look great! I also couldn't see the scarf. What if you tied it to your purse handle in a loose, large drapey bow?

Sarah, I actually did try that I remember someone posting that that was one of the fashions from the past that they wanted to come back. Unfortunately it felt a little too precious or something for me, I think it could work for someone else. I also tried wearing it as a sash and winding it around my purse strap, and then I ran out of time and had to book.

Maybe the scarf is just a placeholder. It was there to show me that there was a color of pale pink that worked for me, and that's why I kept it for years even though I rarely wore it.

Re: scarf placement. Yeah, it has to feel like you doesn't it. If it is not authentic it is really difficult to convince others.

The way you have played it, the scarf almost acts as a turtle neck!

I rather like the scarf effect in the neck of your sweater I love the pink next to your lovely milky skin tone too. I think I like the sleeves scrunched to just before your elbows btw.

I love the extra bulk of the scarf at the neck -- such a gorgeous color next to your skin and hair. So pretty -- but kept from being too pretty with those awesome kicks. Great look!

What a fabulous outfit! You are absolutely brilliant at these interpretations. I love this. I especially like it with the sleeves down. I think if your tights were lighter, it would be good with the scrunched sleeves.

So jealous that you can wear the black bottoms and bookend your hair so easily. I find winter dressing a true challenge sometimes, with lighter hair, since cohesion is really important to my style and it is hard to wear light bottoms and shoes in the weather we've been having.

Thanks all! I'll try the sleeves a variety of ways.

Suz - good idea to try lighter tights too with scrunched sleeves. I can see how lighter hair and snow would be a footwear challenge. You might kind of bookend...with the ground cover

LACeleste and Shannon Esca says hi. I want to try a little citron with white and black (and maybe pink) sometime, because it looks so good on him (his eyes are yellow-green).
