WiW Oxblood and Leopard

Thistle

Another cold day here combined with a sore throat and I fell back to my “uniform”.

Silver Grey sweater – Gap
Oxblood wrap Top – Talbots
Pants – Talbots
Loafers – Clarks
Leopard Scarf – gift from DH (I have learned DH loves leopard print)

I feel like the colors sort of melt into each other. Not contrast, no pop, although I may have gotten that from the scarf. Also unsure about the trousers. I have had them for quite sometime, definitely pre-YLF. Not sure they are as flattering as the should be. Or, maybe it is just the sore throat talking!

Any recommendations welcome!

You had me at leopard! Not every day has to be full of "pop", this looks cozy and comfy and I like the way you have tied the scarf. I'll leave the pants critique to the experts : )

I like the way the colors meld together -- I think this sort of color blending has a chicness that can't be beat! Nice leopard variation too -- interesting without screaming leopard

I like the pants well enough - they look PPL for your flats and I like the bit of baggy sass! I might be the odd woman out liking bits of baggy, there are days when I need that extra comfort that goes with it (and can't stay home in yoga pants

I love the scarf and top together! I think it has tons of sass and fun. Tonal dressing is absolutely great.

I feel like you are doing the same thing that I do with black and white. I love it on others when I see it, but I always feel dull when I do it. When I post a b/w outfit on the forum, though, people go crazy for it. Your pairing looks great!

On the pants, I'm kinda lukewarm on them, but I don't think they detract from the outfit or are bad or anything. I think I've just gotten used to seeing you in pants that are 10s, so seeing a pair of 7s is not the same. Don't let that get you down though. This is a gorgeous outfit!

And that leopard is perfect and fun and just a little daring. I love it on you.

I think the pants are adequate, but you have found much better ones lately. I think tucking in the sweater so the line doesn't show at your hips would look better.

I like the tone-on-tone look, it's a nice change from pops of colour. Both are worthy techniques I think!

The trousers look flattering to me and the tapered bottom is on-trend. I love the soft colors here, especially the light colored top peeking underneath the oxblood. Well done.
