WIW: overalls styled up!

I think I finally got these styled up right- I'm feeling pretty darn cool in this! Thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions welcome.

Target overalls
Athleta linen tee
Sabine blanket cardigan
Bed Stu Sonic booties
Target army jacket for the rain!

My favorite version is the look with the army jacket. Does it feel like too many layers on top? I think it looks nice with the overalls and booties. I like it better than the cardigan alone. Somehow the contrast striped cardigan is very crisp, clean and bold compared to the muted tone of the rest of the ensemble. It makes the cardigan jump out at you as the featured item. I see it instead of you. The army jacket changes that, and shifts the focus back to your face, but still keeps the nice juxtaposition of muted and bold - if that was your intention.

I have a secret sugar eye for overalls, I love these and love how you've styled them! Perfect with the boots and sweater (and fur baby in the background matches!). So badly want to copy this, I have to go find overalls now. But DH hates them as much as I love them, could be a problem....

@Jen- the overalls are a modern, slimmer fit, but fit very true to size. I wear a M.

@crackers- my hubby asked if I was going for an Appalachian theme tonight while cooking dinner because I was barefoot...I don't care and I love them anyway!

@gryffin- thanks for the boost! Black ones would be cool!

@Staysfit- I wouldn't normally wear that many layers on top, the coat was for the rain. It is interesting that you see the sweater being the main focus. I guess it does look pretty crisp in photos with the black and white, IRL it has much more of a relaxed Mexican poncho vibe with a hood and tassel ties. Thanks for your insight!
