Lots of pics because DH took a lot of them.

Occasion:
Monday with crisp barely 70 degree weather. Running errands out and about, capped off by dinner at favorite local pub (YES we eat out A LOT).

Method to madness:
It's Monday. Not a weekend, but also not a weeknight where we normally do much more than go to local casual pub. Call it a segue day. Perfect day for wearing something older rather than newer. Save the newer stuff for later in the week.

Outfit:
- Horribly old burgundy BR knit cowl neck top. Despite being fairly ancient, has not pilled or faded, but I've treated it with TLC. It's like my magic top, or something, because I've worn it a zillion times. I love the color. In these photos it looks black, but it's not. It's burgundy. YEAH! Burgundy! Burgundy is on trend again!!!! I am hanging on to this one until I acquire a replacement that will last me the next 10 years....

- AT skirt, beige with burgundy and pink stitching. Also ancient. But, I may release this one. It is getting snug in the waist. Worked fine until dinner. I debated having the tailor remove the waistband and put in a stretchy ribbon instead (I just need maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch, no more than that) but ... well... it's ancient and I've moved away from beige. I am okay wearing it this season since beige is back in style. But overall I think I will release this one soon, or after season's end. DH complimented this skirt tonight so that makes it weird too.. he never compliments. Yet he liked this enough to say something. But I think that may be because he's so preppy he lives in khakis himself... and probably found it odd to see me in something khaki colored. I am writing a novel about this skirt now, but I also decided that this beige, even though a skirt not a top, really doesn't work that great with my skin tone. And also, it kind of hangs funny, but skirts tend to do that on me. Though this pic was taken at end of day, and so maybe the skirt was rumpled after hours of wear.

- new leopard booties and red Moschino purse (new for me, consignment find). I like the dose of pattern plus bright red juxtaposed with the burgundy. This was what I was going for.

- ATL jean jacket. Was needed for much of the day.

I did try this skirt on with the denim shirt (11) and also the chocolate brown silk collared shirt (10). Both worked okay. I may not release this skirt until I wear those two outfits. Both require taller boots. Or, I'll give myself permission to replace this skirt with a different one, if it finds me this season.
