Happy New Year!

While it’s Summer here now, our weather has been very up and down, so I am glad that I don’t put all my heavier clothes away and certainly appreciate the power of clothes that layer well.

This was a few weeks back for a day out in a gorgeous regional town with two of my best friends. We had not seen each other all year due to the Covid restrictions and the unexpected cold snap didn’t dampen our excitement at catching up.

I had another outfit ready as I expected it to be warm but that’s just how it goes here lol!

The dress is from a small maker in the town we were visiting and was a birthday gift a few years ago from my hubby and son. Layered over a turtle neck and cropped jeans with my fave boots.

I know many of you are now in Winter so I thought it would be fun to share my winter in summer outfit !

Fab over the wide jeans and stompy boots & what a wonderful gift from your boys, is this a pocho/coat-dress?Ah, trying to find out signatures of your style if you don't mind, so have more questions, too...:-) Is the dress color blocked with black on sides or the back? Do you wear the dress unlayered, too? Wow, that's such a versatile clothing item!

The colour is a bit off in the photo . The dress is a denim tone and the check is a white and navy blue. The back is the block denim as is the bodice and the skirt is the fine woven check. I do wear the dress alone (I rarely wear a tnexk but it was cold that day) . I do prefer it over pants tho but it’s just a thing I have and I really prefer my dresses with pants xxx
