WiW: out for sushi

Does this work? I was going to wear a dress but changed my mind last minute. I am in a black & white mood but maybe it needs a pop of color? Unfortunately I am out the door shortly but look forward to your creative suggestions for next time.

I tried cuffing these but it didn't look right to my eye for some reason....

Thanks all, I bought these months ago and this was the first time I wore them. I have tried them on numerous times and chickened out each time, fretting that they were too bold and attention gathering. But then I keep seeing the gals here wearing them in their WiW's... which gave me courage to finally wear them out of the house.

They are really comfy, and the fit is good. They actually work with a top tucked in, which is rare for me when it comes to pants.

So... how else can I style them?

I tried them with pink and fuchsia blouses, and liked that as well, but in the end opted to tone the outfit down with a black tee instead.

Would these work with a light blue denim shirt? Hmmm...

Yes! A half tuck would be good too if you wore without jacket.

Una, this was actually a half tuck, though you can't tell by the picture. I debated back and forth on that, because I didn't have a belt that worked (except a plain black belt) and preferred it without the belt for some reason. I like tops tucked even in the back because (if I do say so myself) these pants do particularly flattering things to the rear view.

But I also like these pants with an untucked blouse. I gotta play around with them some more.

Angie, I don't think I am brave enough to attempt the "white out" ... I nixed the silver CM pullover partly because it was too warm for it yesterday but also I thought maybe it was too busy? I have to take baby steps, one bold statement at a time...

Gorgeous outfit - and I love your hair! What I find so appealing with your outfit is that you let those pants take centre stage, and everything else is a supporting act.

So hear you about pant length! I find it depends on the shoe, and also how 'wide' the pant leg is. I'm never sure what to do!

Love it! The caged sandals with the window pane pants is akin to pattern mixing!
I would stay with the black and white as you have done, without adding colour to this outfit- there is already a lot happening by way of pattern and it looks balanced (to my eye) as is! Bravo!
