WIW orange blouse ETA new pictures

Dear Fabbers,

Today's WIW outfit consists of an orange silk/viscose blend blouse with shoulder cut-outs. I like the cold shoulder details, but not sure about the styling. This blouse is large and flowy and it has dramatic sleeves. I love the colour and material.

I am wearing the blouse with white straight leg trousers and a colourful silk scarf. I quite like the contrast of the scarf, suggesting a cooler season and the summery cold shoulders. I added pearl earrings and pink lipstick. The last picture shows the blouse and scarf with a thin raspberry coloured puffer.

I would be grateful for your feedback on this outfit. What do you think of the blouse and the styling?

The cutouts can be adjusted with a string - are they ok like this or should they be smaller or bigger?

Do you like the scarf with the blouse, or is it seasonally confused?

Ideas, comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I like it. The blouse would overwhelm some but you pull it off. It looks like the right amount of shoulder exposure for a summer day. And the color is luscious on you. I really like the color of your lipstick and the jacket...sort of a modern twin set with the blouse. Thumbs up.

Gorgeous. The strong orange is great with your dark hair and eyes. I like the scarf worn out rather than tucked in, but that is totally up to you.

I like the scarf tucked in, as it seems to let the blouse take center stage. Would a front tuck on the shirt work with this? It's hard to tell if it's overly flow-y or just right. It is a lovely shirt, I like the shoulder cutouts, as well.

If you are having a bad hair day, I am beyond hopeless! Gorgeous photo. My eye goes to your eyes first, a good thing. When our clothes let us shine, that's a very good thing. I love that scarf, just the right accent. I like it tucked in best as the stream-lined affect is more evident then, to my eyes. The blouse with cold-shoulder--dramatic yet reserved. If you don't roll the sleeves up which I don't think you want to do, then I would show even less skin. My point being is that I want to see more skin (if you rolled the sleeves up, you would have that symmetry if that's the concept) or less (just a tad less). Raspberry and orange, a beautiful combo.

I love the orange on you Katerina and the drama of this blouse suits you perfectly.My only thoughts are I think I would like to see it tucked or belted in a bit and I agree with the above comments about tucking the scarf in.lts a statement piece and I think the scarf out makes the overall effect a bit busy for my taste.

Beautiful colours on you !! What does the shoulder cutout look like a little looser and more open? The scarf is lovely , and I like it tucked into the blouse rather than worn out. I don't think it's seasonally confused at all . The blouse is big and substantial enough to also try wearing open over a cami or tank .

Oh what a gorgeous colour on you! You wear everything so beautifully Katerina! I would be curious to see what your outfit would look like without the scarf, collar opened up and maybe a chunky pearl or gold necklace? Love the bold combination of raspberry and orange!

Oh you had me at orange. My favorite color. You wear orange beautifully. I particularly like the blouse with the scarf tucked in, and I love the combination of the the orange blouse and raspberry puffer. I don't find this seasonally confused. I like the cutouts as you have them, but since they are adjustable, it might be fun to experiment.

I think it looks all fab-yeay for such a statement orange, youlook vibrant energic in this! I have no problem with the scarf, it is the right pairing if needed, great color and pattern!

CJ - great point about the skin exposure and symmetry. The sleeves are too wide to roll up, I try to pull them up instead to have more variation.

Cardiff girl, thank you for the feedback. Belts are difficult for me, but I will try a semi tuck.

Lisa P., I opened up the cutouts and combined with black trousers and also blue jeans and smaller scarves, added new pics.

Merwoman, thank you for the great suggestions. I will try with some necklaces, have not figured which ones yet. My chunky pearls were a bit too long, will try to find another option.

I tried some more combinations when I got home. With black trousers and boots - maybe a bit too winter with the cold shoulders? With blue jeans and navy flats. Added smaller scarves (pocket squares) instead - I think this format works better. Also tried to open up the cutouts more. Funny that in the black trousers outfit pic my shoulders “disappeared”, probably the same colour as the wall behind

Orange and pink is one of my favorite combinations - and it looks fantastic on you. Your makeup looks to be perfection - I like the blouse loose and flowy and with the light colored trousers. I didn’t see the shoes you had on with the light trousers - I hope they were clogs or sandals.

I would like to see it without the scarf though. I feel like the cute shoulder cutouts could use a little openness at the neckline too - but seriously, you look to be so polished and composed and lovely - even with your bad hair day!

My favorite is 9, I think the cropped pants and visible ankles check the volume of the top, and I like the offset scarf.

The adjustment of the openings seems just right to me and I like the scarves. I don't think they look seasonally confused, but rather more like soft jewelry, and the closed neck makes the openings more dramatic.

Love the mixed reds of the shirt and puffer photo.

I prefer the cut outs worn smaller with the scarf, or worn larger/looser without the scarf. Not seasonal confusion, but I think the bigger the cut out the more your shoulders become the feature of the outfit and compete for attention with the scarf.

9 is my favourite. I like the cutouts bigger. I do find it a little seasonally confusing, esp with the longer scarf tucked.

I like 9. Bigger holes, smaller scarve. And the strong color of your trousers with it.

You wear this color beautifully, Katerina! My favorite look is with the navy -- but I'm a jeans girl all the way, so I would say that. Honestly, all these outfits are fab.

Fabulous color on you Katrina. I love the scarf in #6 particularly.

As usual all of these outfits are wonderful. Personally I like the outfits with the scarves tucked in a bit more. I also prefer the sleeves a bit higher on your shoulders myself.

I agree with Brooklyn's comments. I think I would wear the blouse without a scarf but with a short necklace to tie in with the pants. But I like it with the scarves too!!

This blouse is gorgeous on you, and it goes beautifully with your scarves. I prefer them tucked in. I like all the outfits here, and I really like the way the openings look in photo 7--a bit of lovely gathering, nice drape, and showing quite a bit of shoulder.
