Dear Fabbers,
Here is an outfit I wore to a dinner birthday party to a relative. Quite casual, but tried to be a little bit dressy within the casual. I wore No 1.
Then I added two other renditions. No two - same outfit, no scarf. No three, different trousers and a different scarf.
My evaluation:
No 1 - pleased with. I am wearing navy Escada blazer with a large costume bug brooch, a Loewe scarf, a yellow shirt with a ruffled collar from Stenströms, dark wash 7/8 legs Escada jeans, chocolate suede boots from Tod’s (amazing quality and longevity, have had them for cca 10 years), a red crossbody/clutch bag with gold seems - my newest charity shop find.
No 2 - removed the scarf, less pleased with the outfit.
No 3 - changed the jeans for wide leg navy trousers, another scarf, the same bag, shirt, blazer and brooch. Like everything apart from the scarf with the shirt collar, should have tied it differently, inside the collar, so less pleased.
I think this shows well what a powerful accessory a scarf is and how the right scarf can make an outfit and a wrong one ruin an outfit.
What is your evaluation?
