WIW: one denim sheath, two jackets

Last week I wore this dress twice, though layering with a yellow coat (chilly day) one day and the Zara blazer the other. I think it came out quite differently and I liked both, but the blazer outfit was my favorite. It has more structure and that colour is so full of energy

All comments and suggestions are welcome

I like it with the blazer the most...
And that sheath is really awesome all by itself (you know I love it )...

Thanks Ramya! I was thinking the other day that you must get tired of that bag. I only have a two bags that I use almost every day. This green baby for work and a taupe crossbody bag for other.

I really like 6 - the blazer is so great, and that is a lovely sheath dress too. I love how you can change the looks up with the scarves and belts!

My main comment is I want that denim sheath!!! What a GREAT dress. Holy moly, I'd wear the heck out of that baby. To me, it looks stellar every way you "slice and dice" it, as Angie would say!

I love all those looks -- what a versatile sheath! The color of the blazer really pops, the scarf ties the colors together, and I like that you are wearing pearls and a scarf

It is a really versatile dress because it can read very casual (du to the denim, I guess) and quite dressy. The only concern is that it is a bit diffucult to zip up and down in the back. I bought it 70% off original price, so I was very lucky

Cciele - the pearls are really, really fake (very plastic!), but I kind of like it anyway Glad the scarf and "plastic-fantastic-pearls" work together

I love all these looks and particularly like your choice of shoes and hose. I wouldn't have picked such a light colour given your dark hair, but I think it looks amazing just the way you have it styled.

Thanks! Well, the hose comes off lighter in the pic, it is closer to nude IRL, but happy you liked it anyway

That sheath dress fits you really well. As for the stylings, I like it best on its own followed by the red blazer but they are all really fun. I like the accessorizing. Perhaps you could try one item at the time i.e. either the scarf, the belt or the necklace, for next time, but I still like how maximal it is.

I'll definately try a more minimal styling next time. I thought it might be too boring, but maybe not?

I like 5, but the necklace does compete with your belt, so I'd choose one or the other....

Ummm, I'm of the opinion that minimal can be good too. The only caveat I see, in my opinion, is that when you go minimal, your clothes must fit as close to perfect as possible, because there are no distractions. In this case, since the dress fits so well, I think you can let it be the star, but again, the maximal look suits you.

This was indeed a little eye opener, because I thought the dress was so plain that I needed all the extra accessories, but from your comments I understand that it can be worn as the star alone. I think this dress might go into my next work trip capsule
