WIW on Thanksgiving: Party Plaid and Bike Gear

I started out my Thanksgiving with a nice 10-mile ride with Gentleman Friend on my new bike. You know how they say "beware of endeavors that require new clothes?" Well, I say "seek out endeavors that require new clothes!" I love this bike shirt, which features a skull made out of bicycle parts (the nose is the seat, the eyes are the wheels, etc.)

For the actual Thanksgiving festivities I used Angie's Party Plaid ensemble formula: A lovely soft plaid shirt I bought at last year's Seattle Shoptember Ingefest along with BR Sloan ankle pants, my beloved studded belt, and new pewter shoes, which are so comfy with their low kitten heels!

Bonus pics: Everyone around the table, and my sweet son with his sleeping grandparents!

Now, on to your outfit. Well, what a lovely version of Angie's ensemble! The belt and shoes compliment each other nicely, and I love that the plaid has a lot of lightness to it. Gorgeous.

Love the bike shirt - they make such good ones for women now, as opposed to 20 years ago when I was a hard core mountain biker and nothing fit.

As another cyclist, I have to give a shout out to the cool jersey! Looks terrific and different. Perhaps you rode up by the Rose Bowl? Or down the river. Tim and I used to ride from Pasadena to the beach and back via the path alongside the LA River (the river isn't pretty, but some of the sights alongside it are!).

Looks like you're putting your lovely home to good use. Love the happy people in the dining room, and the pic of the tryptophan-induced nap!
