Dear YLF

I am still in Portugal, now dealing with the hard reality of aging parents and still trying to make the most of the time I have of vacation.
I am sorry for the quality of the pictures in advance but my wardrobe has been one of tge things that is keeping me upbeat.
As it is the EOS sale here there has been way too much shopping, some of it by my DD8 that has found her fashion sense skews a bit preppy.
Talking about outfits:
1,2- I spent a couple of days in Santarem with friends that I hadn't seen for a long long time.( pic 3 is the view from my hotel room)
4- You had seen thia outfit when I was in planning stage but the blush bag ia new. The strap of the bag I brought ripped and I opted to buy this 2 in 1, this is the big one and there is a smaller inside( see pic 5/6). I can use the long strap in either.
5- This outfit is part of the capsule wardrobe I had planned at home. I want to do a post on this capsule wardrobe because find it interesting the way it's been working and what I added to it.
6- This printed pants are new. When I got home I wondered if it would have worked better with the top, which has been a workhorse, tucked in.
7- I have been cleaning up my mom's house and amongst very akward teenage memorabilia I found this paper dolls that I made and dressed. I thought they were cute to share.
Thank you so much for looking. I have been following wardrobe planning posts but here it looks so far away from Fall that I cannot turn my mind to it.

Celia, you look wonderful! Every outfit here is stellar; I particularly love #4 (blush and black!) and #5 with the new blush bag. What a great colour for you.

The paper dolls are adorable!

It's been hot here also so you are getting it either way. Enjoy the time you have there.

I like all outfits, with a preference for #1 and #4, I like the black&white palette and your hair up.
I don't think the #6 top needs tucking. I'd like to cuff the #5 pants, for a more summery look.

You beat the heat in style, and look fabulous in every outfit. Those pretty shoulders are on display, so how can these outfits not be a win. You are one of the few people I know who rock spaghetti straps. Love that you're wearing casual fashion when you travel - and not gear.

Fun dolls too.

I like top in 6 just the way you have it, tucked in might have looked better in the mirror but in real life loose tops look cool and relaxed. I like the new bag too, interesting and easy way to add some soft color. I have mixed feelings about wearing a blush top but I could consider a bag!
I love the dolls! I've never seen paper dolls dressed that way, it makes them three dimensional.

Love the styling on those paper dolls. I didn't know you could dress them with real clothes. I'd wear some of those styles.

My husband and I are fortunate to have all our parents living and doing well, but we know that we will face these hard lessons in the near future. I hope you continue to take care of yourself in little ways -- to keep your spirits up.

Your outfits are beautiful and so well chosen for the occasion. I love the floral top and the cobalt dress, particularly. I think the untucked top looks cool and easy with the printed pants!
