WIW on a rainy, warm Fall day

Here is what I wore today. A variation on a previous outfit.
Today was grey but exceptionally warm (72 F - 22-23C), a true Canadian "Indian Summer" day. However, I was teaching in an institute where modern classrooms are blasted with AC, hence the bulky sweater.

(I have to say I do not feel 100% like myself, fashion-wise, but an outfit such as this one is all I can bring myself to put together now...)

I think you carry of the volume brilliantly. And that is no easy feat. The pants drape beautifully.

BOO for arctic AC on such a warm day. It is positively hot here right now! I just went for a run and it feels like full summer!

The sweater is just lovely...very fallish and appropriate for the classroom...You look absolutely FAB..don't know why you don't feel like your own style...Thanks for sharing...

Thank you for your positive feedback. It's true that this outfit is volume on volume. The little heel in the shooties does help. The pant's fabric, very flowing, also makes it easier to pull off.
I think I am struggling with the hair.

I love the length of your cut, Krish. Sometimes, when a cut is close, but not quite right, I find I have to work a lot harder to make it come together. It looks good here -- not as controlled, and more RATE than before, but still rather gamine and pretty.

I think your new "aesthetic" (I'm getting fancy with words now), is emerging beautifully -- with more neutrals, drape and volume. If you don't feel like you're quite "there" yet, what about trying to layer a tee or shirt under the sweater? Or a wide belt (per Angie's recent post).

Beth Ann, you are right: the cut is not where I'd like it to be yet, which makes me style it in a RATE way that is not quite me. And your suggestion to dress the top a little more has not fallen on a deaf ear.
