WIW on a celeb-sighting weekend

1. Friday night I went to the Dodgers game and had awesome seats right behind the VIP section where the celebs sit. We got to see Magic Johnson, Dennis Haysbert, Bryan Cranston, George Lopez, Rob Reiner, and a bunch of others whose names escape me at the moment. Big fun! I was pleased because my B44 knockoff striped top is Dodger Blue and gray and I fit right in with my new Costco cardi, GAP BF jeans, and pewter boat shoes!

2. This morning I decided to go casual for church in a denim a-line skirt from a YLF swap, gingham shirt from the Target boys' dept, and my beloved Franco Sarto non-flatforms. Imagine my surprise and delight when I got to the service and discovered the morning's musical guest was none other than EMMYLOU HARRIS!! She looked like a million bucks and sang FIVE songs while accompanying herself on the guitar. What a morning!!

Wow! You look like you fit right in with the Dodger celebs in your great game outfit and boat shoes. The denim skirt fits so well and the shirt is cheerful. What is the bag you are holding in 2? It goes so well with your sandals.

Joy, the bag in #2 is a new addition. I'd been looking for the perfect nude bag for more than a year, and found this one at Target, of all places! It's not real leather but I love the shape and size and it's surprisingly presentable in person. Plus it didn't knock a gigantic hole in my nonexistent-at-the-moment clothing budget!

Mary, I loved your ostrich textured Target bag and got one that has received more compliments than any bag I've ever owned. I haven't seen your new one here yet but they have an ostrich clutch/crossbody that I ay have to pick up.

I, uh, may or may not have picked up that little ostrich clutch myself....

It looks like the cardigans are already workhorses, great purchase! It's nice to see some casual looks on you, you do casual just as nice as you do business wear. Funny, I see less colors in these outfits versus business one's. Is your casual wear softer colors than your work clothes?

Lisa, I hadn't ever really thought about it, but yes! My casual wear does tend to be less colorful than my work wear. I do have a pair of turquoise skinny jeans and a pair of mustard skinny jeans, but other than that, my casual bottoms are all black, various blue denims, olive, gray, or white. And the tops tend to be more neutral, too -- again, lots of blue, gray, white, olive. Go figure...

Both outfits are so cute. Emmylou Harris is gorgeous, isn't she? Have just one CD--Wrecking Ball, but it is wonderful so I can assume she is just overall an amazing musician.
