I've been on a BIG olive & pink kick this week, it looks like - I've worn the combo three times, in different incarnations!

1) Monday

3) Today

Olive/ sage sweater, via thrift

Bark waffle knit turtleneck, Victoria's Secret

Raspberry maxi skirt, Express

Thanks Adelfa! I wish I had better lighting, but since I changed phones, colour truth seems to be off quite a lot more than it used to be.

Thanks, everyone! I've never been a layer-er, so I'm never quite confident it's working they way I mean for it to. I've always been a "put on jeans, put on a giant sweater, go" kinda girl.

DayVies, you mention the "shapes" - can you elaborate? I'm not sure what that means - my eyeballs are not good at picking out details, really, so what I tend to see is "jacket" and "sweater." In truth, one of my biggest difficulties is that I cannot see a visual difference between casual and dressy - I see "pants" and "top," so when people talk about "this dresses this up" and "this makes it more casual" I'm at a loss.
