WIW: Olive, grey and denim

I wore this a couple days ago before it cooled down (38 this morning!). I bought new jeans because none of my old ones fit. My outfit includes olive NYDJ jeans, Eddie Bauer charcoal tee, thrifted denim jacket, Dansko sandal clogs, and Sak guitar strap bag. I bought the bag a few weeks ago on major markdown at Macy's. I love it's hippie vibe.

This outfit looks great! The olive looks so good with the clogs -I saw that color combo in the olive thread last week and was dubious, but was so wrong.

I was very close to lemming -ing you on that purse, but decided to hold off and see if I really need Navy shoes or boot for winter. How is its function?

Karen, thanks! The bag really works for me. Here's all the stuff I have in it (I don't know why I'm carrying around my checkbook - I almost never write checks anymore). I love a crossbody, and it has an outside zip pocket for my keys, and inside pockets for my phone and reading glasses. I love the strap. It makes a plain outfit more interesting.

Angie, thank you! I went down two sizes in the jeans, and the waist fits great and I think the hips and thighs do too.

I love your bright shoes with the olive pants. I like olive and grey together too but haven't done it recently. This gives me inspiration.

Nice! I have a very similar outfit lined up but it's too hot right now!

(Mine is: Gap denim jacket (looks the same as yours), olive skinny cargos, ecco snake booties (you know the ones), a top (not sure what), furla blue bag.)

Smittie, thanks! Ironically, this outfit isn't warm enough now. We had a cold snap, and it was 28 this morning. Just two weeks ago it was in the mid 80s.

We got down to 20 last night! But we warm back to normal so don't put this away just yet.

Karen, yikes! The forecasted low for our neighborhood was 36. So we were surprised to see how cold it actually was. This afternoon we picked everything in the vegetable garden - tomatoes, beans, and peppers. They were mostly okay, so it must not have been below freezing for very long. This is one of the earliest frosts we've ever had.
