WIW, Old Navy K/R, and Update!

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted. How do you all feel about members who just pop in every once in a while? Is it okay?

1. As for the pictures themselves, I got new glasses! When I went back for the tortoiseshell ones everyone suggested but they were gone, so I got the ones that looked as close as I could find.
2. I just got my order from Old Navy today! Woo hoo, new clothes. However, I'm not totally sure of them. #2 was supposed to be a super-cozy sweatshirt for finals week stress, but it's more of a fashiony version.
3-7. I would probably need a petite size in this, but the collar looks and feels strange to my eye. Thoughts?
8-10. I'm thinking about keeping this. It's a good length, although the sleeve is a little wide for my taste.
11-12. I like it, but the V is pretty low, though.
13-14. Same shirt, but definitely a no. See through!
15-16. My outfit for today! I rarely wear all black but I have a presentation to give today, and it felt like the right decision.

In other news, I'm a sophomore now in college (!!) and I've applied to my major, Communication Science and Disorders. I really, really want to be a speech-language pathologist/speech therapist for preschoolers. I shadowed an SLP earlier this year who did just that and it seemed like the perfect career for me. I know if I get accepted in the middle of March. Oh dear.

Otherwise, I have an interview for an RA position on Saturday (!!!!), for which I will definitely be asking for outfit and interview advice, I've been named the Managing Editor for the magazine I write for (yaaaay), and I started my own blog. It's so much fun.

I'm still seeing the sweet boy from a while ago (y'all helped me with my outfit when I met his parents in this post: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....rents-help) and we're almost at one whole year now. Which is weird, but good.

I'll end my novel now, but I'm really excited to hear from you all! I'll be trolling YLF and hopefully I can catch up a little from what I've missed. Thanks!!

I might try a black cami peeking through the V necks.
It might repeat the black in your pants and hair and keep the eye moving. up.

I forgot to add: many great outfits. just spotted that one detail .

Congrats on such great news all around and crossing my fingers for March. You have some great items here and I agree with your summary of them. Lar has a good suggestion on the vnecks with a cami. You might be right that they are a bit low on their own. They are a great fit tho.
I love the black/white check shirt and the sweater in 15/16. The chambray shirt looks large and overwhelming. I do think it is worth sizing down because it looks terrific. I am on the fence regarding the sweatshirt. I like the colour and fit but want it to be a bit longer. But, that is probably just me constantly pulling on my own sweaters to make them longer

Great new specs! I'm not crazy about the sweatshirt. And I vote return or exchange for a different size on the chambray shirt. I do love the black and white shirt and think the tees fit really well. I think the cami suggestion is worth a try. You look really cool in all black!

Congrats on all the good news! I shadowed an SLP once and remember thinking that if I ever decided to do something in a school besides teach, that's what it would be. It's an incredibly cool job.

Great glasses and everything looks good but the blouse in #3-7, which looks to big by a lot. Presentation outfit is terrific!

It's a great feeling to find a major that you love. Those glasses are awesome on you and I really like the black and white blouse.

The black-and-white shirt looks amazing on you; I would definitely keep. The gray t-shirt seems to fit well and looks good, but I can understand you might not be comfortable with the low-cut V.

The gray sweatshirt seems to fit OK, but it doesn't look too exciting to me, so I would pass and save your money to spend on something else (college kids aren't known for their abundance of money!).

Unless you really like the shirt in #3, I would pass on that too. If you really like it, trying it in petites is a good idea.

Well, i just skipped to the pics and was thinking 8-10 and 15-16 were the tops I did read the text after... great presentation outfit. I personally get irritated by too deep V necks, so for me I would return but you certainly look nice in them if you feel comfortable. I am looking at Everlane for basic T's they advertise their V as broad but not deep. Havent ordered yet though....
