Hi All

I don't have a lot of pictures of October looks.
The first week was spent on holiday in the South Island so it was very very casual - and a fair amount of gear as we skied, biked, ran and drove around. We had a great time!!

1 - Skiing in Queenstown.
2. At the bottom of NZ's South Island with two unfashionable sons. One who is taller than me clearly and one is who is catching up....
3. Out to dinner with friends. All remixes (excuse the mess on the floor ahem........) I liked this better in reality than in this photo.
4. New Mi Piaci sandals with white jeans and top from last year. Now I have worked out it is a spring top I am loving it.
5.- 70s influence - same sandals remixed with flares and cogac bag.
6. - Casual Friday working from home. A new jacket that I added to wear with dresses - but a simple layer over a casual look.
7-8 Dunedin sights including a pool we swam in and a spectacular spot for a picnic.

I almost have my whole closet in finds so have added those. They are all custom finds.

I am planning to wear more dresses and skirts soon - it is finally the right weather and they are my favourite. And after a social lull- I have a couple of dress up nights approaching. Yay!!

Hope the end of October is treating you all well and I look forward to any comments, critiques or suggestions.

OMG the 70s outfit is killer amazing on you!!!

Nodding with Shevia -- you also look wonderful in the white and blue. Then again, as you know, I'm seriously biased in favour of white and blue! But it is so fresh and alive on you.

I want to come visit you in New Zealand. What an absolutely gloriously beautiful place.

3, 4 and 5 look great and so does the South Island scenery. The photos bring back memories of my travels there. Your boys have grown up so much, and their dark South American features are very attractive.

That’s actually a really fun gear jacket in red and pink stripe! And the sons are also fun. Maybe just not fashionable YET.

Sal, your sons are very handsome, and dress like my son and the majority of boys in my neighborhood. We could interchange teenage boys between our countries and if they didn’t talk, no one would know.....it’s a little scary!

I adore your 70”s look. You look so happy and relaxed wearing it, and I think makes it even more fab. Your TNF ski jacket is great! I haven’t seen one with those colors before. I love bright clothing for outdoor sports.

Tremendous! An Oceanside pool! Gorgeous views. I’m adding NZ to my vacation wish list. Every time I see pictures they are wonderful.

Is the canteburry brand still the thing for boys in NZ?
My favourite outfit is the blue and white with tan accents. So pretty! The colours suit you. I like the platform on the sandals too.

Jessikams and Staysfit - I purchased this jacket in Oklahoma four years ago. I don't wear it all that much but it helps people find me on the skfield. We will see about the sons- at the moment comfort rules!!

Janet - haha! We saw albatross, yellow eyed penguins and lots of seals in the wild too.

Thanks Smittie- Canterbury is around but not as popular as before - lots of surf brands and gear brands like Nike and Underarmour.

All - yes we have a lovely coast here. These pictures are down in the Deep South - two hours plane flight from my home. It is gorgeous and we had good weather too. Come visit - I would love to host.

Love outfits in 4 and 5 especially. My 22 y old David still dresses similarly to your handsome boys so you may have to wait a while... I keep the pic of him at 17 at his Year 13 ball ( prom) on my phone so I can see how he CAN look
Is that pool at St Kilda? And I've never seen that amazing picnic spot on my Dunedin trips. Not Tunnel Beach?- which is somewhere I'd like to go.

Haha Jenni!! I suspect I have a while before they show a fashion interest.

Yes St Clair pool and the second is Tunnel Beach. A steep hike down and then back up after of course but so spectacular. We struck clear skies, no wind and rough high seas so it was breathtaking. Even Bluff was calm and sunny!!

Thanks Torontogirl. While I am mostly confident I am anything but relaxed at the moment - so it nice to project that air!!

Thank you The Cat - blue is under-represented in my closet at the moment.....I would like to add more slowly..... I prefer either dark blue or a bright clear blue or turquoise/duck egg/aqua (greenish blues). I don't really like baby blue nor cobalt blue on me very much.

I'm dying for the scenery ......you live in a beautiful place in the world.

And you rock the 70's jeans and blue/white/cognac looks like no other. I love it all on you !! The colours and the overall silhouettes work really well with your colouring and your body type. You look very comfortable in your own skin, which is so great.

Wonderful photos. YLF! Nice to see “our” blazer in action. I like that look the best - of course. Love your new sandals too. I have a similar pair and this is inspiring me to get them out. I haven’t switched over shoes yet because it’s been too cool here.

Thanks Lisa. This blue blouse was barely worn last summer (added it too late when it was too hot) - I really like it for spring with the white jeans and cognac. White jeans are a mental struggle for me (and physical struggle haha to keep clean)

Brooklyn - it might be relative - I suspect my sandal weather might be your boot weather - Maybe the sandals were a subconscious copycat? The blazer is great in this weather - see myself wearing it for another month but I think it will be too warm come summer.
