I've been pretty good about taking WIWs lately because WFH means increased access to the full-length mirror during daylight hours! I thought I'd go through my late Oct/early Nov outfits using the OBG lens, and my wardrobe tracking spreadsheet. I haven't tracked wears in more than a year, but it's still nice to have a record of when I acquired everything in my closet.

The oldest pieces in these photos are the striped turtleneck sweater in #2 (2010-ish), the flannel in #9/10/11 (2011-ish), the black merino hoodie in #6 (2008-ish), and the Doc Martens (2008-ish). Everything else is from 2015 or later. My last cross-country move was in 2015, and I bought very very little between 2011 and 2014, the era of thru-hiking and baby-having. The older items in my wardrobe have survived substantial culling!

-- top 2015, jeans 2020 (secondhand), boots 2008. Also, playing around with hair texture -- sea salt spray and tousling, longest parts tucked behind my ears.

-- sweater 2010, pants 2020 (secondhand), shoes 2015

-- jacket 2015, sweater 2019, jeans 2017, shoes 2020

-- fleece 2019, pants 2020 (secondhand), shoes 2018

-- flannel 2020 (secondhand), pants 2020 (secondhand), shoes 2019 (secondhand)

-- jacket 2008 (secondhand), top 2017, pants 2019, boots 2008 (secondhand)

/8 -- coat 2019 (secondhand), cardigan 2020, top 2020, pants 2020 (secondhand), boots 2017. I adopted this short J Crew duffle coat from a costume closet last year after using it in a show (I donated some other props in exchange). It fits really well, and even though grey would not be my first choice I do find myself reaching for it now and then. It can always go back to the costume closet if I decide it's not earning its keep.

/10/11 -- flannel 2011, pants 2019, boots 2008 (secondhand). Usually I wear these pants with my less-chunky boots, seen in 7/8, but I really want to mix it up sometimes! I like the super-90s throwback vibe of this outfit in theory but didn't love it in practice -- until I pulled my hair back into an old-school ponytail. Somehow, that worked better.

-- cardigan 2020, top 2020, jeans 2020 (secondhand), boots 2017. Clearly I love this cardi/striped tee/burgundy boot combo!

-- jacket 2015, hat 2015, flannel 2019 (secondhand), jeans 2020 (secondhand), shoes 2015. I didn't really think about it at the time, but this was my election day outfit. Cold and snowing here, so I just grabbed something warm. Turned out to be equal parts red and blue -- keep 'em guessing!

/15 -- fleece 2019, tee 2016, hiking pants 2020, shoes 2020. I've wanted these pants for years. I finally pulled the trigger during their Labor Day sale; if you have a small waist relative to your hips/thighs and have a hard time finding hiking pants that stay put, these are great! That the pleated/tapered silhouette is trending right now is a fun bonus.

-- cardigan 2016, jumpsuit 2020, shoes 2016

-- flannel 2019 (secondhand), top 2020, leggings 2019, sandals 2019

The last three outfits are from this crazy warm front we've been having (sunny and in the 70s), so if they look oddly summery for November, know that it's felt like early September for the last five days!
