First WIW: No Frump? Rocking out the wide leg pants

My first WIW! Due to Raisin's challenge of no frump for the week, I decided to post a WIW in my effort to get dressed at 4am California time. How did I do?

Top: Anne Fontaine Blouse circa Oct 2012 (bday present to myself)
Bottoms: Boulee Wide Leg Silk Pants with a studded waistband (low rise) circa 2006
Shoes: Neda (now defunct) Lace Patent pointy toe pumps circa 2005 - it was in a magazine and I fell in love, kept them even as they fell out of favor for the past 8 years

PS I need help learning to take photos!

Any and all constructive feedback is welcome! I reserve the right to love black though.
Oh and I attempted the faux tuck with no issues at work :).

ETA: stopped being lazy and took better top to toe photos as requested

From here it looks very good! I like the colourful belt against black. Pardon my ignorance, what is "faux tuck"?

@ krishnidoux - It's when you tuck your shirt half in and leaving half out. Tucked to show a little of the belt but longer in the back to hide stuff like eating a big lunch. My pants must look wrinkled from a full day of work. I learned a lot in this forum.

I love all black too! It's hard to photographer well, though. From what I see here you look very polished, and as far from frumpy as can be. That top is gorgeous! Good job getting the motivation to get dressed at 4am.

@Angie - since you graciously left me a request to post a top to toe, I decided to even though for some reason taking photos pains me. Forgive my wrinkly appearance, happens when you sit at a desk for 10 hours.

@raisin - I appreciate you took note of how difficult it is to try to be stylish at 4am, I appreciate that you are trying to be stylish for a mom (my sister gave up even though I tried) all the moms deserve much kudos especially the ones that have their plates extra full

@Suz - one day lets plan on being outfit twins, it's karma I say!

@missvee - for some reason I like interesting pieces I noticed that, maybe clothing items sort of have to call out to me before I commit. I suppose if I had tons of money shopping would be easier but then I don't so I have to be careful and pick pieces I love and within my budget. I remember the shoes costs me $35 or something ridiculous, could be because they weren't trending as much anymore but I can wear them now...

@thistle - you are fabulous inside and out, I always want to give you a hug when I see your photos and or comments

@pil - I aspire to have a fabulous closet but like anyone I make mistakes too, so I'm not sure... Time to make more posts and we'll see. I own only one blazer and it's hot pink velvet. I own too many pairs of black shoes. I also own only 3 purses and no clutches. Yeah I need help too! YLF to the rescue!

@carolbee - gah, I got dressed in the dark at 4am, wore the outfit until 3:30pm after sitting for 10 hours (notice pant creases ...) then came home, decided to take photos and post to share

Is frump even possible in an AF blouse?? It is so gorgeous! I love that you are wearing wide legs. They look very fresh to me after all the crops and tapers that are around.

@rae - i hope that's true because I intend on wearing these investment pieces until they fall apart, I need some big time CPW to makeup for the big dent in my wallet

Welcome to the world of WIW! You close ups of each item were very helpful, since black can be hard to photograph. BTW --- no worries about loving black here! We're all working working on being our best style selves, rather than following trends in color or silhouette. Check out Aussie Deborah, she does black beautifully!
