Wiw new sun hats ,knee length shorts and a dress

All these posts with summery outfits have inspired me to post pictures from uncommonly sunny Wales.First up Knee length shorts ,by sandwich over 10 years old,with my daughters new cowboy hat!I enjoyed wearing it so much that I think she’s going to have to hide it if she wants a look in!
Then with my own sun hat,l think I definitely prefer the cowboy hat,how about you?
Then a dress.Not my most favourite garment in the world I never feel that they suit me that well but it was SO hot this afternoon and we were off to a church do to say farewell to two much loved members of the congregation who are returning to Michigan after 3years in Wales .They will be sorely missed.The dress is 100%silk with a handkerchief hem and is so comfortable in the heat.Its about 12years old as well and was an absolute bargain in a sale from a welsh based company called Toast.l ve cropped my head out because you do not need to see what the heat has done to my hair.l look like a day old chick ,all fluff!
Anyway I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend whatever the weather where you are.Please excuse me while I mosey on off to party.

Cardiff Girl, what are you smoking? That dress looks amazing on you!! So pretty and right on trend, too! It was clearly the right outfit for the occasion and the weather. (I'm sure your hair looked better than you think, too).

You also look fantastic in long shorts. The cowboy hat with the gingham top is really cute and I agree -- I like it even more than your own hat.

2 and 4 are my favorites. The dress looks amazing on you. I prefer the proportion of the sun hat over the cowboy hat (cowboy hat looks like it’s sitting a bit high on the head to me). I also like the untucked gingham for its lengthening effect.

The dress is OMG fab! And while I like the cowboy hat, I actually prefer the white wide brim one, it fits better and looks like it had better sun protection

Long shorts and hat - what's not to love? The dress looks great too - and I would wear the white hat for the best sun protection but perhaps not as big an issue in Cardiff!

I was hoping you were going to tell us where to get knee length shorts like this, I like the narrow fit through the thighs.

Agreed on the hats! I think the upturned brim is flattering on you. I like the dress and I like it on you but maybe you could try styling it more casually? Offset with a denim jacket? You look much more at ease in your shorts photos.

Thank you Isabel.Sorry the shorts are old from sandwich.I do have another pair in grey from gap but they aren’t this season either.Next are doing a knee length denium pair that I ve got my eye on but I haven’t tried them on yet so I don’t know how close fitting on the thigh they are.
