WIW: New silver shoes and a necklace with a sweater

Just a quick WIW. I have been working from the office 3 days a week, so on my work from home days I am very casual now.

Last weekend I added these fun silver flatform loafers to my closet. They are a bit mad but super comfortable, and I will wear them a lot. I have already worn them:

- black ankle pants, black blouse, cream jacket
- black ankle pants, black tee, pink jacket

I have a white and silver belt that will be great and in summer they will work with cropped pants. With the black pants I have added black knee highs/pop socks. I don't see myself wearing them with a dress or skirt but maybe with shorts come November.

Excuse the no-makeup look!! And the blurry pics (Not sure what that is about).

Today with skinny jeans, navy layering top and sweater, and my silver and glass pendant from Sarah the White.

I don't need a bag today - but I would take my bone one - although it is a bit too creamy in colour to be honest. But better than the cognac.

I don't expect everyone to love these shoes - they are a bit of madness in some ways but they cheer up a pretty simple and conservative outfit.

Thanks Joy and Jaileen. I did worry about the silver as I do lean towards bronze or gold a little more. But I fall into the trap of thinking my new shoes have to work with EVERY outfit because I only add one or two pairs a season.

I am now on the lookout for some new ankle boots, low heeled but dressy. I will probably go with black, higher shaft, to work with dresses, jeans, and cropped pants. Ideally with no metal on them - either a black or brown heel.

Great new shoes! And good realization that they don't have to go with every single outfit; as long as they work with enough to justify the addition that's fine! Should be fun with shorts, too. The boots you're describing sound like a good updated classic, and since you're looking for black shouldn't be tooooo tricky to find. Woohoo for the pendant+sweater pairing!

Very fun and maximal Sally. I think one person's fun can be another person's mad, but what would life be without some fun. I am sure my embroidered floral Moto jacket will get some raised eyebrows when I finally get to wear it. But it's fun for me. You look fab!

What brand are the shoes, Sally? They are awesome! And reading the list of what you've worn them with makes me want to hunt even harder for the perfect silver oxford or loafer with a chunky sole. Love it with your jeans and sweater too .

Angie - I think I could do with a scarf update; I don't have the right one to add to this outfit. I find with scarves they are often a wildcard entry/gift rather than a planned purchase. I will keep my eyes open as one with silver threads or similar could be a great addition.

I will be repeating the black outfits with the silver shoes and will try and take pics. I linked the silver shoes in with this pendant again.
