After my lovely, too brief, visit with Clearlyclaire and Marley (lucky to have Marley close by), I've been reexamining my color choices in what I buy.

Being with wise YLF minds puts me into a contemplative place where I want to assess my fashion choices.  Often times, I get so caught up in the excitement of something new, I don't really evaluate how it will work for me, my coloring or in my life.  So, my goal is to shop smarter and buy what's useful to fit in my wardrobe, in the best color and with a huge happiness factor.

Gaining an understanding in knowing what colors work best for me has been a top priority.  Claire suggested that I may be a "Light Summer" and I've been gently and gradually seeing how I've made mistakes in this area.

Lately, I've been keeping it simple by wearing more navy, denim and cream, so  I can start to feel how an outfit works for me.

Photo #1-2: (Ivory Silk Theory Blouse, navy J. Brand jeans, navy Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals, Michael Kors reversible snakeskin belt) was my nod to Clearlyclaire.  When we met, she was wearing the most darling, very simple navy blue Coach sandals.  I threw caution to wind and bought the navy Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals (really more steel blue-grey and as one reviewer said, they "become" blue when they are placed near, say, denim, etc.  I found this to be true, too).  Exposing my huge bunions to the world, I must say I love them and have worn them several times already.  I am really tempted to get another pair, but wasn't sure about a color choice (see?!) and will stay with one right now.  Here's a Zappos link and a Nordstrom link for the sandals:

Photo #3: Zara navy V-neck sweater, Gap 1969 Real Straight Dark Wash jeans, Sam Edelman navy Gigi sandals.  I wore this to have sushi with a friend.

Photo #4-6:  I love this Vince grey and navy color block tee.  It is so soft and feels luxurious on my body.  I found this when I did some bra shopping, which also was a great day for me, because I had the best SA and I found out the Simone Perele Caressence 3-D Deep Plunge Bra was a perfect fit and a most comfortable style for me.  I took home a black one and the Peau Rose just arrived today.  The SA suggested I go directly to the company website for matching bikini underwear since Nordstrom didn't carry it, which I thought was very nice of her. (I added details about the bra, because Marley spotted the white and red shopping bag in photo 4 and asked what was inside!).

Photo #7-8:  Here's my new haircut with more lowlights than I've had before.  I'm embracing this new look and really like it.

Photo #9 & 11:  Colors that don't work and Marley and Claire felt the sheath dress and silk blouse were too saturated in color for my skin and coloring, so I'm getting rid of these.
Photo #10:  My Mikimoto pearl pendant watch, which I'm keeping.

Photo #12:  I love this brand and classic shade of nail polish; it's by Dior and called "Incognito."

I didn't mean to make this such a long WIW, so thanks for looking at however much of it you can.  Happy weekend to you!  ^_^
