Wiw: new Saba topper - YouLookFab Forum

Hi guys,
Here’s a couple of pics of today’s outfit, new Saba cardi which is wool, but almost a felt-type of fabric. Already I’m so glad I bought it....
Print satin sleeveless blouse underneath, blue jeans (loose enough to be comfy but hopefully not sloppy), and mustard suede sandals.

One question is whether it would be better to just pair this outfit with a black topper- rather than introducing the navy and grey of the Saba topper, as navy and grey are not present in the blouse. Maybe it would be more harmonious not to be including different colours in the topper.....
the fourth picture is an example of not adding any additional colours in the outfit, just keeping it all simple.

Personality wise, the floral top feels more "me", and in line with my style moniker of "colourful eclectic romance" but, visually I am wondering if the other top is more effective because of the simplicity. Thoughts??

I like the outfit. I like the cutouts on the sandals and how you picked the sandal color out of the blouse print. And I especially like the cardigan.

I like the first outfit better in the pictures. The floral blouse does seem more you. The second one is nice too, but I think I’m used to seeing you with more patterns or some artistic jewelry.

My only thought on the colors of the cardigan with the blouse is that it might not look the same in person as it does in the pictures, since navy often looks close to black on my phone.

I love the shoes with the blouse and the jeans don’t look sloppy at all.

Tanstaafl and Barbara Diane: thanks for looking- good to hear your opinion. I think maybe it’s best to stay true to my personality rather than go with the second outfit which is a little more me trying to look like what I think others would like.... hmm food for thought.

Yes I like the floral outfit out-of-sight better. The other one looks a bit boring for your style? And one thing I've learned on this forum is that all our styles are so different. After a matter of months here when I was posting to get rid of some shoes there were these purple sandals I had seen in a fashion magazine, loved the colour of, and bought when I saw them on a massive sale at $44. They were half a size too big and I was advised to edit them out. But someone also said "Maybe not quite your style?" and that was so true. Lessons were: don't buy for colour only, don't buy unless the fit is really good, and don't buy with sales goggles on.

I like the first outfit. I feel the navy works with the blouse because there is already some blue (if not navy) in the print. Great sweater!

A wonderful new cardi Jussi! I actually like both outfits a lot. The first one is more what we are used to see you in - with pattern, an element of romantic - and it is gorgeous. As for the colours, on my screen, just as Taanstafl says, the cardi looks almost black and the combo looks great.
I like the second outfit very much too. Love the colour blocking, the simplicity and the mustard looks really great on you, fantastic with your colours. Why not using both outfits!

Jussi, this cardigan is a winner, I can see it being very versatile. I like it worn both ways, the dark florals are more romantic the colour blocking is fun and I like to contrast between your dark jeans and topper and the bright shoes and mustard top.
