WIW - new Nordstrom BF cardies!!

Hello,

It's been a long time between WIWs for me, but here goes! Thanks to the wonderful April I received a package this week containing not one but 2 Nordstrom boyfriend cardies!

You may remember my woeful post about receiving a cosmic purple cardie then having them release the same style in a much darker and more appealing purple. I eventually returned the bright purple cardie (thanks to Nordstroms wonderful return policy).

By the time I reordered the cardigan in the new colour, it had gone on sale. However the purple was only available in L (not medium). Since I wasn't sure about the fit of the first purple cardie, I went ahead and ordered a replacement purple on in L and a teal one on M (L had sold out of teal). And these 2 combined were still cheaper than the original price for one. Score!!

What do you think? I think the M fits better in the body but is tighter through the arms. Difficult to tell because the cardie is sitting funny in the purple pic (running late and only time for one shot!)

Today I wore a SS tshirt underneath, so wore the teal one to work. I'm excited by these new additions to my wardrobe!!

p.s. Also in the same package was a LS Karen Kane cowl neck dress that Angie had recommended in a blog post. I was running late for work today so no pics, but will try to post for feedback as soon as I can!

I really like them both. The purple looks a tad bigger but I think Angie prefers them a little roomier (based on her comment in Sveta's BF cardi post.) They are both gorgeous on you and I'm sure you'll get lots of mileage out of them. So nice to see you again, Tam!

Love these- gorgeous on you! These seem to have perfect shape and length, and the colors are really pretty. Want one so badly! But my pennies have to go to accessories, darnit.

Thimbelina I think cardies like this are a wardrobe staple - these 2 are certainly going to be for me this winter!!!!

Kellygirl thanks for the welcome back.I've been a bit "all over the shop" the last few months. Hope to get back to posting outfits more often. I think having the 2 sizes of cardies will be good for days where I have both a lot, or for fewer layers underneath.

Sinead I here you on distributing the pennies elsewhere. Sometimes for basics like this I struggle to find the motivation to puchase. These were on sale for less than $20 each though, so I was pretty happy about that!!!!

Two sizes is nice. Mine are all mediums and sometimes I wish I had a little more wiggle room in the arms to layer more! I've been pleasantly surprised at how much I wear them. Nice weight and polished!

Tam, I also have them in two different sizes and actually like that. I also like that bigger size is also longer - something which is important for you and me!:-)
I have the same teal one in smaller size! They look great on you.

Those look really nice on you. I have them, too, but I'm too short for them, I think. They look way better on you!

Very nice! I think you'll get so much wear out of them this winter. I like the stripey top too.

I like both cardigans, the teal does look a tad smaller, but I find I prefer smaller sizes for layering tanks and larger sizing when I want to layer with sleeves for more room.

Thanks for the feedback. I am won over to the 2 sizes now as well. After going away for the weekend and wearing the purple one nearly non-stop I think I prefer the length and roominess of the larger size - more versatile. Both are nice though. I think its now time to go purge my cardie drawer of at least 2 older cardigans to make room for these. What do you think?

I have been around so little lately that I completely forgot to check on whether Tam's package had arrived. But she alerted me that it had, and that photos had been posted, so I had to comment. Tam -- you look great!

The other purple (the one I thought of as "hot orchid") turned out to be too intense? Either way, it looks like you got things sorted -- all's well that ends well.
