Ha E! But actually, I learned a lot from both impressions.
Gigi - I will experiment with different bottoms for the first look in #2, and pay attention to what is happening at the waist. Good point.
For #3 I was going for busy. although I usually am more minimalist. I tried to reduce color as much as possible so only the pattern would mix, the owl is embroidered, and the thread exactly matches the creme/parchment stripes on the sweater. The patterns do kind of jumble up with an outer jacket, and I wasn't as happy with how the cardigan looked then. I will experiment with different laces on the shoes. I've tried black (it was okay, but made the shoe more boring), and haven't yet found charcoal.
I think I might wear variations on this with only two of the items together, rather than three. (so shoes and sweater, or sweater and owl shirt but with simple black shoes).
I'll keep the turtleneck for a bit, just to see if it fills a hole nothing else does. Thanks!
E - aw, sorry no real owl (I did rescue a hedgehog once). The green jacket and blue scarf are okay in RL together, but kind of need to be pulled together more by other colors in the outfit if I do that again, you are right.
For the last outfit, that color pale gray isn't the best right against my face with no other color, and black (with my temporarily black hair) is a bit harsher than usual. The sweater is fairly thin, but the turtleneck does make it look stiff/bulky, I agree. I wonder if it is worth chopping off the neck and wearing with a scarf? Or just splitting the back or stretching it out so it does a cowl? Things to think about, I do have several darker gray sweaters....Thank you!
