Hi Ladies,

Today was much improved. I wasn't at work lol. Wednesday is my day off and I have been at the community meal today.

So this is today's outfit. You have probably now seen many variation of this. This is a bit of a comfort outfit. Harem leggings, Metalicus top and open toe ankle boots. #1

for those who recall my post on the acid wash jacket from Metalicus! http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....sh-yay-nay It arrived. Firstly, I really don't think they used the term correctly and shouldn't have used it at all. There is nothing acid wash about it I am not sure how to describe it. I am sure there is a name for this but??? It's kind of mottled in a rate sort of way. Has a bit of a "worn" looks which is very subtle, gives it a bit of edge (IMHO) which I like. In fact it really doesn't look like the catalogue pic at all.

It's quite a dark blue and #2 is the best photo in terms of capturing the colour. The size and fit are great. #3 is a close up of the sleeve which doesn't reflect the depth of colour but gives an indication of the finish. #4 is the catalogue photo

What do you think? Keep? To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised.
What say you? I did wonder if I should phone them and just inquire if any of the jackets did actually look like the catalogue photo?

First off, I'm glad you are on the mend. Secondly, today's outfit may be "comfort" but it looks amazing on you. I really like the way that signature necklace adds a focal point.

As for the jacket, it is BLUE. What more do you want? In all seriousness, it seems like a piece that will work really well in your closet and I cannot see any negative to it.

I agree that "acid wash" is a bit of a stretch, but it does have the sort of irregularity that denim has, so maybe that is where the creative copywriter got her idea?

I think the jacket is great. The fact that it looks that good with that outfit is reason enough to call it a winner! Nice detail shot. Texture looks super fresh.

Thanks Suz and AM. I have phoned Metalicus and sent them a pic and they are following up re the fact that the jacket looks so different.

And Suz, there is a reason you are a writer!! Irregularity!!! That's the word I was looking for lol.

Looking great, Deborah! I'm glad you're improved! I like the jacket a lot! Seems like it will work wonderfully with the rest of your wardrobe. I wouldn't call it acid wash either. Looks more heathered to me. But I like it

I wouldn't have known your jacket was the same one as the picture! No signs of acid wash to me and the blue provides a nice pop of color for your outfit.

Yeah, I see what you mean -- I don't really think it looks "acid wash" either. Sort of a heathered blue. The color is really nice though, and looks great with black. The fit and style suit you nicely.

Hmmm...I'm on the fence. I think I need to see it with some more of your pieces. I'm not sure about the length and I'm kinda bummed that it doesn't look as advertised.

AJ, thank you. I did just throw it on over what I was wearing, and I wouldn't wear it like this. Will play and see how it is over some other pieces.

Caro yes you are right. Infact, the jacket is called the Chios Washed Jacket. Throwing acid wash into the description was a bit silly I think:)

Maybe they were on acid not the jacket Sorry couldn't resist okay I'll stop now. Going to yoga soon

I like it much better than I thought I would! I would say keep it. To me this looks a bit like a photographing issue - wrong lighting, parameters etc...

It's a lovely colour and definitely worth playing with. I can see this working with your style but wondered if it might be too short for a lot of your tops? Of course, I don't know everything you've got but my recollection of what I've seen makes me think you tend towards longish tops. Anyway, if it can work with your existing things I'd say it's a keeper.

Dimity I have some tops that kind of mirror the hemline of the jacket so I think they will work. Also when I wear jackets, I often semi tuck my tops:). Good point tho and will need to try it with my tops to make sure:)

Gosh it's pretty Deborah. I love texture and shade in pieces - it will be interesting up close but it reads monotone. I think the shape is elegant and very flattering. I know you were expecting it to be more dramatic colorwise but I think this is going to be perfect for you and it should be amazingly versatile. Honestly you could be the fit model for metalicus!!

Love the shape and drape, color is also great and the "wash" gives a texture a bit of closer to some RATE, if you don't mind it. I surely don't:-).

I am waiting for Metalicus to get back to me re the difference in the finish of my jacket and the one on the catalogue, but it is really just a point of interest now as I am definitely keeping.
