On the floor with everyone else!

And like most things, it isn't just your talent. It's the work and patience involved. How many hours does something like this take you? Do you keep track?

What a tremendous dress you have made. I love it the way you have it styled - the fit seems perfect to my eye.

What a beautiful color on you!

So amazingly beautiful! You are one talented lady!

Awesome, completely awesome.

I am in awe of your knitting skills....WOW WOW WOW

I love the shape and the color and it looks stunning on you.

Did I say WOW?

Diana, this is spectacular -- both in itself, and on you! Just GORGEOUS!!!

Like Peri, I want to know how long it took you to make.

I also wonder if you might take a few orders?

The bag looks fab, by the way -- thank you for showing it. I have absolutely decided to get one, except it keeps selling out on me!! I put my name on the list to get it when it comes back in (in the berry colour) but I go to the site and it has already gone! Argh....

Wow Wow Wow! This is completely stunning. I must learn to knit.

Wow! Speechless with everyone else. You are a woman of patience. There is no (or very little) stitch variation on the sweater. I barely can make it through a toddler size sweater in one stitch. So pretty, effortless, and just awesome.

Wowza. Love the oversize fit!

Completely awed by this lovely tunic dress, Diana!

This is perfect on you. I love it & thanks for the link

Wow, just wow. Gorgeously amazing!

I am in serious awe of your talent and skill.

Coming back here to read what you've actually written in your intro post. I think the length of the dress is perfect as is and I also love the long sleeves.

The colour is so beautiful on you and -- again -- this is a masterpiece.

Stunning. I am also in awe of your totally talented fabness.

I love it! It drapes beautifully!

Fabulous shape - looks absolutely great! Well done!

I love the sparkles!!! That deep teal-ish blue is lovely on you. I agree I love the shape for you and the slightly baggy cocoon-ish look of the dress -- added bonus is it's cashmere (how luxurious!). Good for you that you didn't wait any longer for the pleasure of wearing this dress.

This is actually the kind of silhouette I am aiming to master over the next several months. We'll see how far I get.

I am awestruck by your talent! Total gorgeousness.

absolutely beautiful. You should be proud.

You are AMAZING! The dress is so beautiful and such a pretty color. Love it on you! Thanks for showing us the bag with it.

Ok WOW with big gaping mouth was also my reaction. Beautiful and the drape is sublime!

Seriously love the dress and am so incredibly impressed by your talent! This is making me wish that, when I tried to teach myself to knit a few years ago, I actually kept with it rather than making it about halfway through a scarf, then getting distracted.

This is really beautiful... And beautifully done! It looks so great on you!

Wow! Thank you so much for the nice compliments, ladies!

As to how long this took, it was a little over two months, but I didn't work nonstop on it and I had other projects going on at the same time. On the other hand, I know I did have a week or two where I knit obsessively on it. In terms of hours, I have no idea. I actually kind of enjoy miles of stockinette stitch, as it's very zen. I can literally do it with my eyes closed, or with them staring at the tv. Right now I'm actually working on what sounds like the most boring knit ever, a black stockinette sweater, but it's going super fast.

By the way, the all saints sweater Angie linked to this evening is a very similar shape. I do think this type of cocoon shape is (perhaps surprisingly) very good for pear/hourglass shapes, provided the garment drapes well and is loose through the hips.

Beautiful dress and beautifully styled. Congratulations!

Diana this is absolutely stunning! I don't suppose you have an Etsy store we don't know about. I'd be placing an order xx

I am in awe of your skills. You have created a work of wearable art that looks stunning on you.

I am so impressed with your talent! And pockets too?!!!

Amazing.
