After months of waiting, I received my last Elizabeth Suzann dress yesterday. I had a play with it this morning. This dress is what I call a “duplicate essential” in my closet. While I have other black dresses that fill the same slot, it will provide some welcome variation and prolong the wearability of my other essentials. Since it’s a functional duplicate, it still counts as one of my five seasonal additions.

The dress is mid-weight linen (see: wrinkles, which I'm fine with) and reversible for either a scoop- or v-neck. The shoulder ties allow you to adjust the neckline higher or lower.

Here’s what I came up with:

1. Basically unstyled, and how I’ll usually wear it at home or to the beach
2. Autumn, with velvet belt, embroidered duster sweater, fedora, and suede booties
3 Urban warrior, with olive sandals, canvas bag, and bandana
4. Pretty, with silk belt and ankle-strap sandals
5. Sporty, scoop-neck with Converse
