WIW: new cords two ways

I discovered over the last month that I felt short of cold weather clothing. I decided cords would be a practical cheerful 1970s addition,

I ordered two pairs from Ezibuy and kept these ones which fit much better. They are vibrant in hue. But good with lots of safe winter neutrals such as shown here.

I also purchased a sweater dress that I am yet to wear. Currently have a winter bug( had a Covid test today) so no opportunity to wear yet.

And a shot of my lanky sons husband and I up a mountain last week.

These are great Sally, and nicely styled. I bet you stand out in the sea of winter black.

I got a pair of cords too this winter (plum coloured flares). I am wearing them to walk my dog during lockdown. They are a nice alternative to wearing regular jeans everyday, which gets a bit boring.

Yay, Ezibuy cords! I returned mine. I love this colour, this must be a different style from what I tried. They look great on you, and your family looks great too.

I like the cords too, and have been tempted by them in recent years. Maybe when rises are not so high. I love this color, particularly with the striped top and jacket ensemble!

Barbara Diane - I very much hope it is not Covid, not least because if that is the case I will be all over the news, put in a quarantine hotel, and my actions over the last 10 days will be all over NZ!! Because Covid is not in the community here at the moment if there is case they will track how I got it, who I spread it too etc... I suspect it is a winter flu.

Shevia - yes I think the one with the red sleeve (19 years) is more like Jon, and the 16 year old a bit more like me....

Brooklyn, those are great cords. Yes I haven't had cords for a long time (I had moleskins in the 90s but I think cords would have been the 80s..). It is good to have a change from denim. Don't know why I waited so long!!

Jenni - these were Capture by Ezibuy. I do need a belt with them.

Janet - these are a mid rise, the brand is a more conservative part of a large online (ex catalogue from back in the day) retailer. I don't often buy from them but they have a good colour range for basics and mostly good quality gear. I have been wearing higher rises but I am quite enjoying the mid rise....

Nemosmom - the boys are both 6 ft 1 (Jon is 5 ft 9 and I am 5 ft 8)....I think the younger one will pass the older one soon.....

Jenni - in looking back at your post I think mine are the second and yours are the first. Mine fit like a mid rise relaxed skinny/slim fit.

Oh you are right. Thanks for that. Mine were Emerge. I decided to leave it this year in the end. I’ve been wearing the beautiful cream jumper from Max with other pants instead, mainly some pewter ones, and it’s scratching the 80s itch enough. It is great to be warm though isn’t it! Luckily I have the option of a heat pump at work!
