Suz's post this morning reminded me that I never posted WIW photos with the new burgundy boots I got a few weeks ago. You might remember that, like her, I was bored of my winter shoe choices and was looking for something to mix things up a bit but that would still be practical for walking around in nasty weather and on slippery sidewalks. The selection of winter-worthy boots that are not black, brown, or gear-ish is very lacking. I ended up purchasing these tall burgundy Rieker boots from Nordstrom and have been very happy with them so far. They are warm, comfortable, waterproof, and have excellent traction. They're also not black, which is a nice change of pace. (Actually, I have several pairs of burgundy/red shoes, because I love them, but this is my first pair of tall burgundy boots.)
So here are a few outfits that I've put together with them. Actually, most of them (all except #4, really) are old combos that I've worn a lot, but the new boots make them feel new and different.
#4 was an attempt to do last Friday's ensemble. I don't have any cinnamon so I substituted my camel sweater. I think the proportions might be off a little bit but i liked the color combo.
All of the sweaters are hand knit!
