WIW new bag and dress over trousers

Dear Fabbers,
I have bought a new bag from La Martina, a new brand to me. I like the structure, the colours and the size is perfect for me. The quality seems to be very good - nicely crafted from very nice structured leather. It will work well in my wardrobe. The colours are navy with lilac and beige details and gold hardware. It arrived today, so I wore it right away for a lunch and a walk in Copenhagen.
I wear it with a navy silk dress (Bruuns Bazaar), a pair of slim beige cotton trousers (StOliver), beige loafers (Geox) and a silk scarf (Escada). The scarf has beige, lilac and creme pattern, which works nicely with the colours in the bag. I also added a pair of blue aviator sunnies.

What do you guys think? Any feedback, improvements and styling suggestions will be much appreciated.

I love multicolour bags! The way you picked up the colour mix with the scarf while keeping your outfit neutral (but high contrast) is brilliant.

I am glad you posted the bag. I googled LaMartine after your earlier post. I like the one you selected a lot. I have a question. If it is too personal, just disregard it and forgive me for asking. I like the ring on your right hand, and am wondering what it is. I am thinking it might possibly be black onyx?

Bridgie, thank you. The ring is from Georg Jensen, the design is called Savannah and the stone is smoky quartz. It comes in both gold and silver, and in various sizes and colours of stones. I have had mine for about fifteen years, but it is still in the collection.

Your new bag is beautiful. I love bags with handles and a crossbody strap. It looks so nice with your dress and scarf. I’m also a little envious that it’s cool enough to that you would wear long pants under a dress..

It’s a gorgeous looking bag. I’m glad you’re pleased with the quality. One question - do you find it heavy? Some of the bags seem to weigh a ton even before you add your wallet etc.

Missvee, I know what you mean. This bag is not extremely heavy, it is still quite acceptable being a large leather satchel. I usually wear large structured leather bags and most of them are quite heavy already when empty. I usually carry my bags in my hand, not on the shoulder, because my shoulder hurts if I carry weight there. So, if you are looking for a lighter bag, this one would probably be still too heavy.

Oops, I see that what I thought was black is actually navy. No matter. Navy is a beautiful complement to lilac as well, and I like to wear both combinations. If I didn't already have a lilac bag, I would seriously consider that La Martina bag. You made a great choice.

Thank you Kate. The dress is very dark navy, almost black, so it might look black in the pictures. I would also like a black and lilac combination. I have a smaller crossbody which is in lilac suede - you just have me the idea to combine it with black!
