WIW.. never say never. orange and red!

I happened to get a picture snapped today so thought I'd share a WIW for today. I never would have thought that I could do the orange cardigan with the red shoes, but it seems to work.. please feel free to let me know if I'm sorely mistaken! I will need the cardigan for the morning, but it's not cold enough to require more substantial footwear. THis is a tricky time of year to dress!

and part of me thinks that it's alot of buttons going on, but decided to not over think it.

You look so lovely! Even though the cardigan shows as light red on my monitor I can picture it as orange, and I love it. Your belt adds just the right sass. You are not sorely mistaken, just good and fab.

Very pretty outfit. I've always had a thing for red and pink and orange together. Ofcourse it has to be the right shades of all. You look like you've got it right.

The items share a similar saturation and intensity, so they work to my eye. I love the ladylike freshness of this outfit!

It looks good to me! My sister wears red, orange and rusts together frequently and always looks good. I only mention this because on my moniter your shoes and sweater look like they match perfectly so I'm trying to imagine the sweater as orange and not red. I agree that this is a tricky time of year - cold mornings but warm afternoons.

I am sometimes a little taken aback by the way the current trend seems to be throwing totally random colours together. So it makes me happy when I see somebody doing it right, like this. ;o)

Jayne, I"m not sure why I didn't think red and orange would work, but I didn't.
The red shoes actually have a hint of orange to them, and the orange sweater is a softer orange, so I think that's why you all aren't seeing a jarring difference between the colors. IRL, the shoes do read as red and the sweater orange.

I missed this yesterday, but you looked lovely! It's a perfect transition outfit with the sweater and dark dress for fall, but the bright colors and sandals for 'summer'. I like the two shades together
