Since there's so many different textures and tonal patterns in my outfit today, I decided to stick to a palette of navy and grey (love this color combo!). The handknit dress photographs as plain grey, but it's actually a very interesting tonal variegated yarn that has subtle flashes of teal and blue and it has a wonderful sheen. It's one of my favorite handknit pieces. I had originally planned to wear a handknit navy lace scarf with this, but it seemed like too much right next to the handknit lace dress, so I swapped for a simpler jersey infinity scarf. See, I can exercise some restraint sometimes!
It's a bit warmer today, in case you were wondering about the bare arms! I am planning on keeping the scarf on all day though, as it's drafty in lab. Please excuse the wet hair.
