We’ve had a hard winter these past couple weeks. Snow, rain, snow, and ice. Our precipitation for the season is something like 174 percent of normal, which is great.

1-3 was for dog walking. I just got this Patagonia Better Sweater pullover, and I’m also wearing Merrill ice shoes. They really work! The dogs, with “four wheel drive”, were slip sliding around, but I wasn’t!

Monday was nice and we went birding. I’ve worn this same outfit before, but wore Sorels partly due to the snow, but also to keep my jeans dry. The snow was so dry it squeaked when we walked. Normally I don’t wear sunglasses birding, but the sun was blinding. 9 is a black crowned night heron.

Some of you might already seen this picture of Mr Skunky (not his real name) in 10, after a walk in the park. In spite of this, he loves the snow.
