Thank you for all the supportive comments on my last thread about me going on SYC for the remains of the year! I realize it isn't for dramatically long time, and I feel really good about this because my closet is working well, and I have no major holes to fill right now anyway. Thanks to Angie and YLF
Still, I'm always looking for a little spice for my outfits, and since my DH got himself a new watch quite recently, it dawned on me that I could recycle his old one - for me. I changed the brown leather strap for a new one. My initial wish was a black strap, but they didn't have any, and then I thought about how I wear a lot of brown in my accessories, specs and hair, so maybe brown is better for me anyway? The watch is cool when worn together with my brown booties. I can always change it later if I'm bored with it. I didn't want to spend money on a metal chain right now, so it had to be leather.
This watch has a fun story to it: It is modeled after the watches that hangs in Swiss railway stations, and a design icon of the 20th Century, but its not an expensive watch.
I love the idea of getting more use out of pieces that are perfectly in order. I've also been thinking about getting a man's watch. This one is very big, it covers my entire wrist. What do you think? Can I use it? Should I have chosen a black or even white strap instead?
Thanks for reading and looking! All comments are welcome as always.
