WIW: My Man Repeller Outfit for Valentine's

Hehe. I have just realized I've donned a complete man-repeller outfit for Valentine's.

Other realizations:

- This skirt is massively too big. Don't know how it got that way. It's being held up with a safety pin right now.

- I bought this shirt to go under what I call my strapless Tatooine dress. I'm trying to wear it separate from that, but I'm not sure about this flare. Another wide-hipped Tweedle Dee look.

Love the outfit....of course I am not a guy.

I think it is less like Tweedle Dee than the White Queen.

Is the skirt velvet? It looks amazing. And the tights! Ah, the tights!

Plus, I have to say, I adore your new hair. It is fabulous on you.

If I saw you out and about in this, I would have to come up and tell you how fab you look! I think the blouse may be a tad "stiff," and perhaps one less safety pin might be in order, but this look is both approachable and cool. And I love your hair, too! You look kind of french-actressy. Definitely not Tweedle Dee.

Bless that there is someone else out there in the world who uses a safety pin as required to keep a skirt together. I sometimes wonder if it is only me!

I love this shape and your new hair is simply fantastic!
I am not a man either.
Your posts crack me up. I want to see the Tatooine strapless dress, am trying to get a mental picture...

If there was one thing to tweak here... maybe how the shirt sticks out from the bottom. It's very personal, but I find it is a bit too stiff for this job. Or is it the sweater that is not stiff enough? I love the cuffs though, and the collar. Have you tried the same thing, shirt untucked, but belted (over the yellow sweater), belt worn higher rather than lower?

Interesting thought about adding a belt... But ok. Ya, the shirt is stiff. It's really challenging. The shape would lend itself to being worn as a tunic, but then it's too formal because of the stiffness to be a tunic. It's got some lace-like detail on the back, so it's also kinda arty. As in too arty for my office trousers.

I should probably try it with my patterned skinnies...

What can I say? It came with the Tatooine dress... (pic below)

I first glanced at this and only caught Man Repeller and strapless Tatooine dress. And then I was thinking that is the complete opposite of man repelling for most men and boys I know, lol. It's like the intersection of every man's inner geek fantasy!

I think it is a fab outfit, very "you", and that is always a true compliment in my book. You always create such interesting shapes, and they work so well on your frame. Love this!
