WIW. My cutest accessory. :)

(I need to invest in a full-length mirror. Sorry! I usually just stand on the edge of the bathtub if I want to see all of me. LOL And sorry the lighting is so bad!) WIW to church. This dress is new. It was inexpensive and it probably shows. I'm not so sure about it but I like that the sleeves are a bit longer and that the length is below the knee. Black is not my color, but it seems to hide my imperfections well enough. I will probably wear the cardigan (or at least the baby in the moby) because there is a comfort level in hiding the size of my bust a bit. I don't generally wear jewelry, but think I need to buy a few necklaces and invest in some tights as well. Honest opinions, please? Give it to me straight.

And someone else wanted to share their WIW too. She has 3 brothers, so as you can imagine, I enjoy dressing her up.

If you said nothing about the dress being inexpensive I would never have known it cost you next to nothing.

This dress looks great and is very flattering on you (so the bonus is you got a great deal!) I especially like the pop of lavender. I prefer this without the sweater, but I understand it can get chilly.

She def stole the show!!!!! im looking at the baby!!!!!!!!!!!! all the way she is so cute!!! is she your baby? ummm i don't like the coverage of the dress doesn't look right ...i think if u are not comfortable u should get like a v neck but not to deep or halter dresses that help u a lot and u can place a lace bandeau not to high not to low...hope it helps! (mmm maybe this this u can usea a bandeau lace and similar color)

I look again the photo and i know what i don't like i think u are using a cami ...and has a curve on it plus way different color def u need a bandeau !

Actually, I think the dress is quite flattering and although you may be more comfortable wearing it, you do not need the cardi at all. Because the dress is black (which is not unflattering to you, although I imagine you would look great in colour, too), the quality is not immediately apparent; it looks quite nice. I know how hard it is to feel back to normal with a little one (your DD is absolutely beautiful!), but your figure is enviable and you really don't need to cover up as much as you might think (with the long cardi).

I quite like the dress and wouldn't have thought that it was inexpensive if you hadn't said anything about it! I like the pop of color with the cami. I'm not crazy about the cardigan with it - to my eye the necklines are competing - but if you need the coverage then that's entirely understandable. You know what would look cute is a cheeky little denim jacket! Although maybe that wouldn't be dressy enough for church? Great shoes.

And your little one is just too, too sweet! I love your hair and that smile of yours is a pretty great accessory too!

An lbd with sleeves and a knee length is a great choice for any wardrobe! I actually like it best with the baby wrap --- purple adds a brightness to your face.

I understand wanting to play down the curves for day, and I think Sinestra might have a good idea with the bandeau, although I use camis all the time, myself. This dress would be a natural for a pashmina or longer scarf, too, which would add a little warmth.

Does this dress have a tie in back? If so, are the ties long enough to bring back round to the front for tying? I like the waist-shaping of ties, but I prefer the "obi belt" look at the front when I can get it.

Don't hesitate to mix high/low price items. We all do it! I have a Walmart top that has worn better than any of my expensive items that are similar!

Ok - enough about the baby - on to the dress and YOU. I think the dress is very flattering on you - it emphasizes the narrowest part of your torso and really complements your body-type. The pop of color with the cami is really nice - you can try any color underneath the black - or go monochrome with a black cami as well. You also have a beautiful neck and collarbones - maybe a necklace would look nice to fill up that space? Just experiment and see. I think that a structured light -weight jacket would look better than the cardigan - to me, the cardigan (color and style) just takes away from the nice lines of the dress - and adds too much volume to your overall look. Black does not look bad on you at all!

I don't see anything jumps out saying your dress is inexpensive. It looks great on you. I don't think the cardigan is necessary unless you typically get cold in church. Maybe consider a cropped cardigan. You have a great figure and I'm afraid the cardigan you're wearing won't help you look a fab as you are.

Mother of 4 little ones? No way. You look chic and ready to take on the world. I love the idea of a denim jacket -- it would keep the whole look young and fresh like you are. Also agree with others that the dress is very figure flattering. Your daughter is just too cute for words. My goodness!

Thanks for the thoughts, suggestions, and compliments. I think you all are right about the cardigan. Looking at the pictures again, I see how it kind of takes away from the dress and gives me no shape. I like the idea of a denim jacket. I need to get one. I ended up staying home with my oldest DS, who seems to have pink eye, so just enjoying the dress at home. Better than sweatpants, I suppose.

Beth Ann, the dress does have a tie, and I think it's supposed to go in front; but I feel like it looked much cuter on the mannequin tied in front than it did on me. I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I feel like I have been so out of the world of fashion for the past 8 years, so I can use all the tips I can get.

I have a massive weakness for Gymboree with my DD. so much fun to dress her up, and they have all of those matching accessories.

Forcing myself to look at the dress, and it looks fabulous, would never have guessed it was I expensive. If you could do another layer under it for warmth and not use the cardi, I would.

Now, back to the cute baby!

YOU look fab & your accessory is too precious for words. Your figure is incredible, your face is beautiful, your hair is perfect and your smile is radiant! I like the dress, and I like the purple peeking out. I understand your desire for the cardi, especially in a church setting, but I think the color and fabrication of this one detracts from all of the other fabness you have going on.
