Hello and thank you for your love on the hat and my outfit. It came together very easily, especially with Bill's camera work!
Marilyn, thanks and I'm sure there are a few more "looks" I may find through the long history of his lens.
Angie, I'm so happy you liked this and it was ridiculously fun to recreate, truly.
Suz, I appreciate your compliment and, yes, I'm sure we would have many wonderful ideas to inspire us with a YLF challenge from Bill's vision on street fashion. Now, I want to see what Traci's challenge is all about.
Meredith, ha, I always wonder if I'm going to like a "hat look," and, in this case, I did. Thanks.
JAileen, you're funny, and cage sandals are enough to walk with, so I'll leave the cute little pug and leash to the New Yorker! Yes, I really will miss his column, very much. There was something so caring in him as an observer to showcase those around him.
Jeannie, thank you, and I see there are many of us who enjoyed him through the years.
deb, thanks and sending hugs to one of my favorite hat-wearing people. When we roomed together for the Seattle Shoptember Inge Fest, I recall you saying that you had a huge hat collection and you loved wearing hats and that inspired me to start wearing my hats and buying hats that I liked. Thank you for the inspiration.
shevia, or shall I call you Professor shevia, because your instructions to hide the links were spot on and easy to understand. Thank you, and, yes, wearing the "boater" is about as close as I get to water sports although I do enjoy looking at the ocean and the shore.
LACeleste, I'm so glad you're a fan of this outfit and I think it would work well on the streets of L.A. when we have another meetup.
Barbara, thanks and I'm so pleased to have inspired you.
Staysfit, keep looking. I have a small head and the XS wasn't available so I bought the S and also bought, on Amazon, some hat reducer tape, that goes inside the brim, and it fits perfectly now.
Inge, you are an inspiration to me many times over and thank you for your wonderful words here which are so descriptive and keep me encouraged and inspired. So, you don't wear hats?
Dianne, thanks and, yes, summertime is a great time to try these things out.
skylurker, there you are! You always make me smile when I read your posts and how did you know that I love radishes! I'll leave the kitties at home and will happily stroll along with vegetables and flowers any day.
Maneera, I appreciate your comments and it was lots of fun to wear and try out a new style hat.
Sterling, I'm so glad you like the hat.
Ledonna, yes, he died in late June. I would be thrilled to see your version of this with your hat.
