Hi Ladies,
May I start my saying I wish you all a very happy Mother's Day. While not all are biological mums, i believe we all get to mother in one form or another. Some are adoptive mums, some are spiritual mums, some are mums of fur babies, and some provide a motherly nurturing to nieces and nephews and the children of friends and family. So I think you are ALL wonderful and I wish you a special day with your family and friends.
Today has been a funny day. I was asked to do the Welcome at Church this morning (for Mother's Day) and I was so worried about being late that jumped out of bed, got ready, headed to church only to find that it was only 9.15 a.m.... church starts at 10.30!!! So... it was coffee at McDonalds. The upside is I must have done a good job because my Pastor then asked me if I would also close the service:)
I wore a pretty standard outfit. I have worn a similar outfit before but with a skirt and top, today's effort is a jersey draped dress worn with leggings, ankle boots and a draped cardigan. Accessories were my silver rings, silver bar necklace and new earrings, which were a Mothers Day gift from Master 11, and my black cross body bag.
Don't laugh but I was really temped to wear a gorgeous soft pink Laura Ashley Blazer that my sister gave me... but despite the colour being very Mothers Day appropriate I was really feeling an all black look for today. I will show you the blazer soon tho, I thought it looked great over black and the juxtaposition of my drape dress and leggings with a more classic blazer looks really good (I think)

Stirling Silver Hoop earring. DH told me to buy something I would like (that Master 11 could give me) and I have been obsessed with hoop earrings, wearing a costume pair daily that has started to tarnish, so I wanted to by a silver pair that will last the distance.

Master 11 chose a block of chocolate, funnily enough his favourite!!

Is a gift Master 11 bought me at the school Mother's Day stall. He is adorable and his knows my taste very well. I wore the third set of earrings to church today. The pearl and silver studs I already have quality pairs of, but both of these are a little smaller than the ones I have, so I am sure they will come to good use.
