I was inspired by this pin on Angie's board. It is such a fun yet simple look (I want that skirt and top!). I tried to copy that in this outfit. I wish I had a floral black blouse! Well ... my polka dotted cotton shell top (F&F) will have to do for now The skirt is an old one (pre YLF) from a local brand outlet shop.
Since black and white is not really my thing ..... I added a pop of color with my deep red shoes (Zara) and mini bag (Etienne Aigner outlet/old).
I wore this for today's school run (another fantastic day for DS2!). I was cool and comfy. Although I do not look as chic as that lovely model .... I was happy in my own version I think the skirt needs some tapering. Other than that do you think I need to improve anything and does this work? Or should this be best left to the ramp? Do let me know, I am always open to suggestions and I love experimenting! Sometimes I go overboard doing it!
