WIW Mon - a hint of fall in summer temps/accessories challenge

The BF and I went on what I joked was a good old fashioned date - matinee movie and late lunch. Saw the new Bond film and then grabbed bar burgers. Just like kids on a first date might I went for a sweater and cords, very fall like textures, but in summer stylings and weights due to the temps still over 80. sigh. One more belt down - 5 more to go.

I love that open stitch sweater - it's got almost a lace delicacy about it, you know? Love it paired with your warm weather version of cords. A perfect afternoon date outfit!

mo, i love this. do you consider this edgy? what i see is excellently cut and well fitting pieces that flatter. the belt takes it into the "edgy" territory. i think you really excel at the small but perfect details that express your personal style.

Thank you all so much! I do really like this outfit myself. I first paired most of these items up last year (but with a drapey white tee since I didn't have the sweater yet). For some reason I had not repeated it until now. Note to self: if you love it, wear it again! lol
BJ, what a lovely thing to say The details, or what some consider matchy matchy, are the parts that help things feel more cohesive for me. As for edgy, I'm not sure. I think I like the textures and the drape, along with just enough hardware. so I guess a little edgy. These days I'm aspiring to a Tough Luxe look. I like the punny sound to it as well - appeals to the word nerd in me.

Ooh, I love seeing that sweater in the sunlight - you can really see the texture, which is super fab and luxe looking. High five for bringing fall to Florida!

DH and I get a kick out of doing "date" activities, too. $1 movies, mini golf, sharing a milkshake... it is sweet that you and the BF continue to do these things together.

This is one of my favourites on you yet! I love the textures and this seems to be the perfect way to bring autumn to Florida. The sandals are also very flattering and bring a hint of fall.
