WIW: Mirror print and metallic

Out running errands today and then going to bookclub called for something comfortable and casual. This is about as simple an outfit as can be, but the happiness factor is sky high!

I couldn't wait to wear my new mirror print sweater. I LOVE this sweater! It's a silk/cotton blend, loose and comfy, and I adore the print. I was going to wear it unlayered, but my neck looks kind of scrawny since I've lost weight, so I decided to add a white shirt underneath. Plus it's warmer that way, anyway. I chose the metallic booties to pick up the taupe color of the sweater and to add some textural interest.

I think those are the seychelles boots I want in GOLD! Do they feel good? Are they TTS? I like them on you because they are not too blingy or polished. I was afraid they'd look too casj but I really like them the way you have them today.

Suz, thanks! I know you and Angie have both talked about how with long slender necks and short hair certain necklines work better than others. My hair isn't as short as yours, but it still leaves my neck exposed. When I was heavier lower necklines seemed to be OK, but now I can feel a little naked if I don't have something covering up some of my neck. It's weird- I've started layering blouses under a lot of things, and I never used to do that. Maybe I need to grow my hair out a little.

Karen, these boots are amazingly comfortable and they do run TTS. I just got home from doing errands, and I don't think I went in a single store where someone didn't comment on my boots! The gold would be perfect for you.

As far as the mirror print, to my understanding, it's one where each side is a mirror image of the other, sort of like a Rorschach test.

Is it my eyes, (probably!) or does the mirrored effect of the print project as a bit blurry? It's beautiful. And those boots are slick!

Pil- you're right- it is sort of a strange blurry looking print, and that's part of what I liked about it. It was listed as a floral print, but I can't really see it.

Casual beauty! I really like it with white shirt but then a white crisp shirt makes everything better, doesn't it? Was it comfortable to layer it under the sweater?

Sveta- Lafayette 148 blouses are made from the comfiest stretchy material. They're my favorite white shirts- pricey but worth it, and this one is from at least 5 years ago. So yes, it was totally comfortable.
