WIW: Minimal, 50 F and rain. ETA: Hat

Good Morning!

I was inspired yesterday by Charmian's minimal looks so here we go. Shirt, pants, shoes watch. No necklace, no scarf...

I like the form following but not quite body con fit. These jeans are a pre-YLF purchase and difficult to style b/c of the high waist but I like them with the BR sweater.

Feedback appreciated

ETA: But then my Arty Eclectic side popped over and said but you need something quirky. So on went the hat... Pic 3.

I always thought I was more classic but (like I should be surprised...) Angie has nailed the nomiker.

That sweater looks great on you and works well with the pants. I do love a minimalist style and think it makes you look very sleek. Lovely!

Thanks ladies, I was liking it but it felt a little incomplete to me so I put on a patterend hat. Little bit more maximal, a bit funkier.

We're sweater twins! I love that sweater and it looks great with the black pants and shoes. The hat definitely brings the outfit into Arty Eclectic territory.

Oh, man, you have my aesthetic nailed. I spent months waffling on whether or not to buy that sweater (the answer was "yes", and then I ran out of budget for Winter 2012).

Using the long sweater to hide high-waisted jeans is brilliant. And I love the personal (pattern mixy!) touch with the hat. This is a great outfit

( also, this is the first time anybody has ever said I inspired them! I'm literally tearing up ... thank you! )

Love this sweater on you! BTW --- Sara L. posted several looks with the sweater, too.

And yes, the hat looks like "you." Also, If I remember correctly, you have a good selection of denim skirts. This sweater would pair nicely with denim skirts, I think, and also layer well under a bright jacket.

Beth Ann - always love your feedback... I am thinking Suz did a stripe top with a demin skirt and jacket to go see her banker last summer. Will have to break those out come spring since i despise hose...

So... I am NOT by any stretch a morning person, but i promised DH id be in a good mood by the time i got to the kitchen and try to acknowledge 7 O'clock mightoccur more than once per day....if i could just rest my eyes upon that lovely clock!
