Along with many of you I’m continuing to whine about how cold it’s been this spring. We have had a few days here and there of almost normal temperatures, and then it’s back to feeling like February. So dreary. Today we are getting drenching rain, with the temps around 40F, just warm enough to not be icy but still quite cold. The Boston Marathon is today and the runners are in for a nasty day.
To add insult to injury, most of my warm clothes are in dark colors, so I can’t use lighter colors to cheer myself up. I AM introducing a bit of white where I can. In my crystal ball I see some warm wool sweaters in LIGHTER colors on this years’ NAS shopping list. After watching Angie wear light/bright colors in winter I am finally seeing the light
Here are a few outfits from the past week; all worn with a winter overcoat and gloves.
1 - Burgundy pants and bag, black/grey striped knit jacket, white cotton sweater, black ankle booties, lighter colored scarf. Wore my heavy black puffer over it for a bit of outdoor walking before dinner and a concert.
2 - Grey NYDJ jeans, black Macys sweater, tan Macy’s faux leather jacket, a scarf I normally wear with winter coats, black suede loafers
3 - Loft jeans, BR merino sweater, Lucky booties, scarf. Wore a black wool coat that was NOT warm enough even for a quick run from car to restaurant!
