WIW: Mesh sweater plus other new Aussie purchases

I wore this open knit sweater that I bought in Australia recently & hadn't posted it yet. There are a lot of those. I don't get the energy most days. When I read Angie's blog today about mesh sweaters I was inspired to post & also posted today's WIW because it is also an Aussie purchase.

First pics are new sweater, belt, ink blue jacket & boots bought in Australia. I included a Pinspiration pic. I don't like my sweater. I like it with the shrunken jacket over it.
Second pics are a Life With Bird microstripe maxi dress bought in Australia.

All honest feedback welcome, including dislikes or need to improve or change etc. The dress & the sweater are not things I usually wear. I'm slowly embracing the oversized trend.

I love the color of your open knit sweater, and I like it best without the jacket over it. I think the maxi looks best in photos 8, 9, and 10 with the shorter jackets.

I would personally prefer a belt with the dress to add a little more shape to it.

Love that burnt orange colour of your mesh sweater - and brilliant layering in that outfit. I'm afraid I have a bit of a poison eye for maxi dresses, but you have styled this one beautiful with the cropped jackets.

Very cool sweater, like both the outfits. I like the maxi with shorter cropped style to emphasize your waist, not liking the jackets in 11 and 12. Really like the vest with the maxi though!

Mo photo number 3 isn't me it is my inspiration from Pinterest! I tried the dress with a belt at the store & it did look better. I don't have the right belt for it. I will look for one. Not sure exactly what to get. It was a double wrap around thin one. I wore it on the hip. I have one but need more holes in it to sit in the right place.

Shannon I'm ok with some maxi dresses, this one isn't quite what I'm used to but I wanted a dress for the heat to throw over a bikini or lounging at home. I don't know if I like it without a jacket but it is intended for hot weather so we will see...

I love the wonderful relaxed, simple but spirited style you have going on. It suits your body nicely. Pic 3 is very very cool, a bit rebellious. And I very much like this sexy bohemian dress with all the shown jackets, 11 and 6 being my favourites.

I think you look great in your mesh/boots outfit. Its fine without the jacket as well. I'm also not a fan of maxi dresses but like yours styled with the vest.
