WIW : Loving the Poncho!

Hi Ladies,

I'm hoping Spring isn't too far away but for now we are still tugging up.

I have been wearing this cashmere poncho and scarf a lot. The poncho is a nice fine knit that doesn't add any bulk, it's SO warm and can be worn over almost anything.

Today I have layered it over a grey asymmetric top and coated leggings. The scarf is also cashmere so this whole outfit is seriously cosy and I haven't needed to add a jacket.

I haven't worn much cashmere in the past but I will be on the look out now lol!

Both the scarf and poncho are ethically made

Fantastic outfit. Those pants! I want some like that! Why can't I ever find leather (or coated material that looks rich like these) that isn't calf-sucking or thigh-sucking? You look fabulous in this.

Wow. Great look ! I really like the flash of grey, it is somehow both pretty and dramatic .
I bought a poncho for the first time this winter . I really wasn't sure it was "me" - I don't Like too much drama or indeed clothes I have to fuss with. But it's really turned out to be a workhorse. It's perfect for Brisbane "winter" when a coat is too much but where I often need a jacket inside my office. It's usually colder inside in the day than out! I've used it so much that I would definitely consider an update to cashmere

Fab outfit, love the contrast drapes peaking out lower on the body, this is a new way to add interest to a monochromatic outfit (for me). I may look closer and adopt for our upcomming fall. Thanks for the inspiration:-).

Wonderful poncho. It layers beautifully. And your pants are so elegant. Cashmere is fabulous and fabulously expensive (sigh). I have had some luck finding it at consignment stores.

Elle, yes it can be pricey. This poncho was AUD170.00 and the scarf AUD 90.00 which I thought was pretty reasonable. But not really sure how that compares to other labels making cashmere items.

A poncho is on my list for fall too. Anthro had a gorgeous blush one but I missed it. I saw a cream colored one yesterday that I'm thinking about...

Don't know how I missed this, it's brilliant. I've never seen a poncho worn this way and the layering makes it look completely different. I love the contrast with the leather, everything just the right proportions and fit, and love the softer colors. Very, very, lovely.
