Well, Anthro's very light blush poncho was all out in petite sizes, but I've ordered the regular small, so we'll see. A piece like that may just be too voluminous for me in a regular cut (I'm 5'2" and have a small frame). But fingers crossed. It was lovely in the photo but I'm not finding it on their site at all now, and it was incredibly marked down, so it must have sold completely out. I'm guessing I only got that small because they had a return.

Both the poncho and scarf look- and sound- perfect for you. I think everyone needs a cashmere poncho!

Agreed, Susie! A cashmere poncho should be a wardrobe essential! And I'm thinking how great it would be for an airplane travel outfit...

Deborah, I never in a million years would have guessed from your photos that you're 5'2"! I think your look (The Cat described it as "relaxed elegance," which seems spot-on) somehow just suggests a taller person. As a fellow petite, I'm impressed. Maybe I should be re-thinking what I could potentially pull off...

I've added a poncho to my fall wish list for sure. The Anthro one is en route and I'm hopeful... but if it doesn't fit well, I've seen a cream poncho at a local boutique, and a taupe version in the Sundance catalog, so there are options.

The poncho is sold out so it's not on Anthro's website anymore, but I was able to pull a photo from the email confirming my order.

I agree, l proportions are everything, and that goes double for us petites. You do proportions so beautifully!

While I was looking for the poncho I came across these lovely kimono sweaters, but they're both, ha, "one-size-fits-all" which is just such a lie, and a lazy way out of making actual sizes. Even so, there may be a way to proportion these so that they work on a smaller body...
